    ??? maybe "mate", NOUN can have different meanings but used as a verb between two people, you are stretching it.

    Oh so you've gotten over it? That's encouraging...

    I think you can say that couples "mate" for life or that people are "soul-mates" without needing to refer to a specific biological definition.

    I hate to break it to you, but in 2012 you can have children without having sex. So your information that only a man and a woman can procreate together is outdated.

    ???? At this point the process still requires a man and woman. I said nothing about having sex.

    No, but you did say "together." If some random woman gets pregnant from some random man via a clinic, but they never meet or even know that the other exists, you can't possibly say they did it together.
