Genitalia vs Chromosomes: what makes you male of female?

Gender as a label to indicate biological sex, was not used as such in common language until the early 20th century. It was never used euphemistically for that purpose for at least a whole century after the word developed in the 14th century. But that is, at the moment, a lingual contention. So if we stick to the term sex, then there can be no confusion.

With that said, you still have not presented any evidence of what is the determining factor for sex. And while we agree that mutations and anomalies occur, those mutations and anomalies are classified as either male, female, or have to be a third sex if they are not considered one of the two.
