Wrong that was the Zimmerman that was arrested 45 days after the fact. Read the police report that night Zimmerman was 205lbs.

So why would you get out of your vehicle in pursuit of one if they look physically imposing. Let the police go after them, they is what they are paid to do.

Ok, but Trayvon didn't have a knife or a broken beer bottle did he? How many times have you gotten a beat down from a 158lb teenager?

I think you missed the word 'try'.

Well for one we don't know that Trayvon suckerpunched him. Also how do you get suckerpunched by someone whom you deem is "suspicious", you are looking for and you see them approaching you.

The jury decided that it was reasonable for George to be in fear of bodily injury considering the photographs taken of his resulting injuries and so they did not buy into the 'Tayvon as innocent little waif' theory . . . which was the intimation of Trayvon as promoted by the MSM in the beginning.

You are saying that on the night of the shooting, the police stripped Zimmerman down and weighed him on a set of station house scales at 205 pounds?

I don't know if they put a brick in his pocket or what. He was 205 the night of the shooting.

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh you mean those two little abrasions on his head. The EMT claimed that 45% of Zimmerman's head was covered in blood, yet they needed a microscope to find blood on his jacket when it tested for blood. LMAO.

Do you make a habit of making things up to support your positions?

"Jurors deliberated for more than three hours Friday and decided to stop in the evening. They resumed deliberations Saturday and continued throughout the day until asking for a clarification on the lesser charge of manslaughter. WESH 2 legal analyst Alisia Adamson said the question, after 12 hours of deliberations, signaled that the jury was stubbornly divided.

Ultimately, they returned a decision of not guilty of second-degree murder. They declined to give statements following the verdict's delivery.

I am not sure how many call outs will be required in your case.....but it may be a good idea to quit while you are only moderately beaten.

Let's stipulate that Zimmerman had no meaningful training in confronting potential agressors even though he was a neighborhood watch captain since ninety year old grannies can become neighborhood watch captains. Let's stipulate that from the standpoint of any experienced LEO or Security Professional, Zimmerman committed a series of rookie mistakes.

So here you have this figure approaching you in the dark, which is misting rain, making it difficult to see details. The figure angrily demands, "Why are you following me?!" So NOT being a trained or experienced professional you make the classic rookie mistake of not . . . backing . . . up. You do not immediately announce your identity or intentions. You do not advise the other person to stop trying to close the distance. Instead you let him get within arm's length of you and then -- pop! -- seemingly out of nowhere there is a fist breaking your nose and just the right nerves are struck at just the right angle OR the other fellow simply pushes you after you are off balance and staggering. But down you go with him on top of you -- oh and you still don't know that he is a minor -- and you ARE NOT labeling him as a well-intended little tyke who's just in a playful mood. So forth and so on.

That's how you get sucker punched by someone who's approaching you out of the darkness angrily demanded to know why you have been following him. A rookie mistake.

A kernel of truth is not the whole truth. So, how do you define the other 99% that is not based on that "kernel of truth?"

When are NW captains told to confront someone they find "suspicious"? Come to think of it Zimmerman worked security previously and he also was working out at a gym that taught MMA training.

Uh didn't he ask Trayvon, "what are you doing around here?"

That would make sense if someone just happened to walk up on you. Now with that said, you tell the dispatcher that you see Trayvon reaching in his waistband as if he has a gun. He takes off running, you jump out of your vehicle in pursuit with a loaded gun. You come face to face with a guy you think has a gun and you have called "suspicious" so instead of grabbing your loaded gun, you are going to reach for your cellphone to make a call. Come on Man, only a fool would buy that story.

Nice scenario, but too bad that is not how it went down. You might wanna go back and read Zimmerman's description of what went down again.

Sigh! If you concluded as a jury member that Zimmerman KNEW that he was struggling with a minor and that somehow the minor was in no way trying to harm Zimmerman . . . then you would have to vote guilty as charged.

Weird that the jury doesn't KNOW what you know, eh? Weird that the prosecution team didn't KNOW it either? Someone should look into that.

Being a neighborhood watch captain is like being the skipper of your own boat. It is not the same being the skipper of a cruise liner, military vessel, tugboat, etc. It means absolutely nothing, legally, for that. What GZ did was escalate the situation by getting out of his car and attempting to find or confront TM. He already made the critical error by assuming that TM was another wannabe thief. The believed he saw someone acting suspicious with TM standing in a covered area from the rain at a community building or based it one what TM wore, a hoodie, or something else that can be easily explained by not being suspicious.

Keep in mind, TM had the right to defend himself under the law of Florida. "suck punching" someone when they believed they were in inniment fear of their life is justifiable as well. This is not an either or situation. .

Is it that they didn't know or that they knew and really didn't care because this wasn't nothing but a black thug who got what he deserved.

    - - - Updated - - -

He did know that he was struggling with a minor since that is the description he gave to the police dispatcher.

Again...you are making general assumptions to support your initial claim...perhaps you need a reminder as to what was being discussed in order to get back on track.
    Hope this helps.

First of all, a 17 yr old who stands 6+', who can legally drive a car, hold down a job, at one time was allowed to join the military can hardly be considered a 'child'.

I'm one who questioned the wisdom of allowing a 3rd time suspended in about 5 months teenage son to wander off at night when he couldn't seem to keep himself out of trouble. I don't know if you're a parent or not, but I am and - in my way of thinking anyway - the notion that you would allow your kid the freedom and privileges he wants and still thinks he should have, despite his behavior is totally irresponsible and your kid doesn't learn one thing b/c he doesn't have to face any consequences for what he does..... it's as simple as that. "When you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences."

3rd time school suspension? His parents should have been waking up w/eyes wide open and saying "We DO have a problem here and he needs help AND discipline"... but instead he's allowed to go out the door into the night b/c Trayvon wanted candy......wow. No restrictions for Trayvon, altho he had proven he couldn't be trusted when he was away from a parent or adult. What more was that kid supposed to do to show his parents he was a troubled teenager headed down the wrong road?

As far as GZ goes, I think as the NW, he should have shouted out to TM, asking him if he lived there and since he didn't, TM should have put on his big boy pants and asked GZ who he was.... something. Get some communication b/t the 2, so they both knew who each other was, instead of playing a stupid and dangerous cat & mouse game during a rainy, dark night... they were BOTH in the wrong for the way they handled that situation.

His gf testified during the trial that Trayvon told her he was 'close to home'. But he didn't head for the door to keep himself safe..... obviously. Instead GZ ended up w/a bloody head and Trayvon ended up dead.....

As far as the Martins handling the situation so 'saintly' - not sure how you mean that. Many parents have been in the same situation and they didn't get a pile of $ and a lot of publicity w/tv interviews, etc. They just had to deal w/a murdered child and hope for justice......

I remember during some rally, TM's mother said "I had 2 sons. One's in heaven and the other is here on earth".... guess it slipped her mind that millions of parents have had to bury a child and for many, it was their only one.....

i have a friend who had 3 children and had to bury all 3. Her son died a few yrs older than TM, her daughters died exactly 1 yr apart. All 3 died during the month of July..... imagine having to live w/that - and life goes on.....

No kidding.... and your point is what?

You do realize that a minor can kill someone as easily as someone of legal age?

    offtopic alert

just my opinion but why the fascination with Zimmerman. I put him in the same category as Honey Boo Boo and the Kardishans. In other words not worth a single thought cycle. One dumbass killed another dumbass, why all the commotion over 1 wannabe thug when every day hundreds more wannabe punks get killed by other wannabe punks

Apparently you are not understanding the question. the shooting is inconsequential to the question. George is defended for his assault on a police officer because they didn't identify themselves. Trayvon is vilified for his alleged attack on George Even though George acting as a Neighborhood Watch captain and does not identify himself or his reason for taking an interest in him. Why is that?

So are you ready to admit there was a report of stolen jewelry that matched the items found in Martin's possession or not?

    - - - Updated - - -

The claim was there was no report of stolen jewelry that matched the items in Martin's possession. I showed you otherwise, either refute it or admit there was a report.

Because we do not believe people should be charged with crimes they did not commit and sent to jail for them simply because we hate the guy.

He was doing what neighborhood watch people do, watch.

No supposed to, he was merely watching him as neighborhood watch people are supposed to do.

Did he know the person attacking his friend was a cop? Do you speak disparagingly of anyone who goes to the aid of another person who is being assaulted by someone else?

Ahh, so you really have no argument to make thus the racist charge....gotcha..

It was Martin's actions that required him to defend himself, get your facts straight.

What a load of (*)(*)(*)(*). He was doing more than watching.

An undercover cop who was not attacking his friend but trying to arrest him because he was breaking the law. Zim defenders will spew any (*)(*)(*)(*) to make their homey seem like a fine upstanding citizen
