Not when the claim is repeated based on specious claims of higher authority.

You would not be able to match exactly items reportedly stolen and items reportedly found. You have no clue whatsoever when it comes to these things. The items are general descriptions with no specific characteristics to distinguish them apart from non stolen property.

If the found items were placed in a pile with similar items selected randomly, how sure wil you be to pick the EXACT one that was stolen?

BW, the number in the pile would be around 50 or so, just to make it interesting.

I really don't care what you think about it, if you want to support her claim then do so, she just made it again and has been called again as she will be every time she makes.

Martin didn't claim they were just found, he refuse to account for them being in his possession. They matched the items in the stolen jewelry report. The report that was claimed to not exist. Those are the facts, all you have are specious hypothetical as during the trial.

None of it matters. A black child died at the hand of someone not black, so its big news. The taller lean child, and yes, I know, George went to a gym that offered MMA training. My gym offers pole dancing, so I guess based on that logic I am a stripper.

Before Martin was suspended from school for the 3rd time (in approx 4- 5 months) the school officials had reason to search his backpack and that's where they found pot residue and women's jewelry, along w/a burglary tool. He told the school officials he was 'holding the jewelry for a friend'........

After that, his daddy allowed his 3rd time suspended son to go wandering around at nitetime by himself b/c he wanted to buy some candy........

    Go figure.

Thanks for responding with something that made sense. Rosepop's and Bluesguy's responses were indecipherable.

So the school found jewelry and exactly what kind of "burglary tool"?...when did they find that?...did they call the police?...and did the police, or somebody else confirm it was stolen?

You've got me very curious, I think I'm going to google up some info.

Here is how the Miami Herald first described what you just described

The police notified the school police that the jewelry did not match any that had been reported stolen

    and....from http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/03/26/2714778/thousands-expected-at-trayvon.html

So basically Martin had jewelry, a screwdriver, and months later an empty bag of weed.

Something tells me you read all the righty blogs to get your information. The web is packed with articles by "conservativetreehouse", "atlasshurgs", the "freerepublic", "spectator.org", and even less credible racist righty sites after those.

Bluesguy, you rail on about how if Zimmerman wasn't convicted, he must be innocent. Martin wasn't convicted of burgalry, or smoking pot.

Mine was perfectly clear, what wasn't was your wonder how a dead person could say something about something he may have had on him.

Yet google is a very useful tool.

The assertion was there was no police report that matched the stolen jewelry, there was as was cited earlier in this thread, a reporter doing research later turned it up. I "rail" that there was no evidence to prove Zimmerman committed a crime that night. There is evidence Martin was in possession of stolen items for which he refused to account for and was carrying a tool that is used in burglaries along with those items all of which is evidence he committed a crime previously. All discovered after he was caught committed a crime. So much evidence that had he been charged with a crime, possession in the least, it is reasonable to assume he would have been convicted. Had he gone to trial and not have been convicted then so be it, not guilty.

"A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver."

I also find this incredulous that the school would not inform the parents.

Martin wasn't found guilty of stealing jewlery or smoking pot so he's innocent, end of story, and all you have is unproven speculation.

It doesn't legitimize the fact that Zimmerman's pursuit of Martin (someone he suspected as being possibly dangerous) into a darkened area without any idea whether he was following at a safe distance. Because Zimmerman didn't know any of your unproven allegations.

And can't find the report that the items Martin had were stolen. I would ask you for it, but because it's probably not credible, or it doesn't exist, or just to be obnoxious...I'm guessing you'll pull you typical "do your own research"

So by your logic George wasn't convicted so he is also innocent. Stop the hypocrisy and just accept the verdict. Tray on was a violent scumbag and paid for attacking George. That is the bottom line. Anyone with integrity knows this.

Well, you're dead wrong. Never had any interest in blogs and never read one and not about to start now - and certainly NOT about TM/GZ. I told you the gist of what I had heard on the news, but mainly the articles/posts I had read here about TM & GZ.......

Wow! So it was 12 pieces of jewelry? Silver wedding bands, diamond earrings, a watch..... that a 'friend' gave to him.... right. And, of course, he wanted to keep his generous friend' a big secret.

Oh well.... some people, including parents will believe anything that the kid tells them......

And btw, just b/c someone isn't convicted of burglary doesn't mean they're innocent of it anymore than an acquittal means the defendant really is innocent.....

The women's jewelry consisted in a few rings, which no one every claimed in spite of the police inquiry.
The "burglary tool" was a screw driver.
The "pot residue" consisted in a plastic bag that had some point had contained some pot.

The "wondering around at night time" consisted in leaving his home a little after 6 pm on February 22, to go to the neighborhood 7/11 and buy skittles for his little brother and an ice tea. It is on his way back that he was found "suspicious" because he was "walking leisurely" under a light rain and taking protection under the cover near the mailboxes for a few minutes, then he committed the crime of pulling on his hoody and running toward his home under the rain.

You are wrong on all counts. If you are going to make excuses for a dead thug at least get the facts straight.

A seventeen year old is still a child. His height does not determine his level of social and ehmotional development or his legal status. I would not assign the same level of responsibilty to the teenager with half the life experience as the adult.

First of all, a 17 yr old who stands 6+', who can legally drive a car, hold down a job, at one time was allowed to join the military can hardly be considered a 'child'.

I'm one who questioned the wisdom of allowing a 3rd time suspended in about 5 months teenage son to wander off at night when he couldn't seem to keep himself out of trouble. I don't know if you're a parent or not, but I am and - in my way of thinking anyway - the notion that you would allow your kid the freedom and privileges he wants and still thinks he should have, despite his behavior is totally irresponsible and your kid doesn't learn one thing b/c he doesn't have to face any consequences for what he does..... it's as simple as that. "When you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences."

3rd time school suspension? His parents should have been waking up w/eyes wide open and saying "We DO have a problem here and he needs help AND discipline"... but instead he's allowed to go out the door into the night b/c Trayvon wanted candy......wow. No restrictions for Trayvon, altho he had proven he couldn't be trusted when he was away from a parent or adult. What more was that kid supposed to do to show his parents he was a troubled teenager headed down the wrong road?

As far as GZ goes, I think as the NW, he should have shouted out to TM, asking him if he lived there and since he didn't, TM should have put on his big boy pants and asked GZ who he was.... something. Get some communication b/t the 2, so they both knew who each other was, instead of playing a stupid and dangerous cat & mouse game during a rainy, dark night... they were BOTH in the wrong for the way they handled that situation.

His gf testified during the trial that Trayvon told her he was 'close to home'. But he didn't head for the door to keep himself safe..... obviously. Instead GZ ended up w/a bloody head and Trayvon ended up dead.....

As far as the Martins handling the situation so 'saintly' - not sure how you mean that. Many parents have been in the same situation and they didn't get a pile of $ and a lot of publicity w/tv interviews, etc. They just had to deal w/a murdered child and hope for justice......

I remember during some rally, TM's mother said "I had 2 sons. One's in heaven and the other is here on earth".... guess it slipped her mind that millions of parents have had to bury a child and for many, it was their only one.....

i have a friend who had 3 children and had to bury all 3. Her son died a few yrs older than TM, her daughters died exactly 1 yr apart. All 3 died during the month of July..... imagine having to live w/that - and life goes on.....[/QUOTE]
