Something against Lufthansa? Personally I have had occasion to fly on Lufthansa flights [to and from Norway], no, I've got nothing against Lufthansa in particular, I've got something against that annoying German attitude to see other EU partners as less perfect, inferior, less smart, less efficient ... and now we discover that Lufthansa ... [note that I've got German roots] ... Germany should reconsider its "superior stance", to say the least.
I for one find it pretty superficial to judge and classify a whole nation as ____________ (insert word of choice here). To me, there are different mentalities, sometimes extremely different. But claiming that nation X or nation Y has this or that attitude toward its neighbours is beyond me. It's a bit like saying, the Greeks are just too lazy to work their way out of the current crisis or Americans are all trigger-happy gun lovers with no education or knowledge of the world they want to rule. I think things are a bit more complicated than that. But that's just me. Regarding this crash. I'm not quite sure what to make of all the info. Some things seem to be a bit strange, like allowing the co-pilot back to training after his diagnosis. On the other hand, I don't know Lufthansa's policies when one of their future pilots drops out of training.
Are you talking about germans now or lufthansa? I have flown with lufthansa and know some germans and I can say neither are like this. What superior stance? Its one of the biggest airlines in the world, again do you honestly believe that there is no pilot among other airlines that had a depression? And the airline knows about this? What do you propose suspend everyone forever once they have any form of depression? Thats not going to put even more stress on pilots .
As you probably know, in Italy we've got our problems with captains of ocean liners [remember Captain Schettino and the destiny of Costa Concordia!], but we are self critic [we are Italians, you know]. Sometime Germans seem to deny reality avoiding self criticism. Regarding when I had occasion to fly on Lufthansa flights I have to admit that I was enough lucky: Lufthansa pilots didn't commit suicide in those occasions ... [this was humor].
I have not seen germans do that more or less then italians. And anyway any country that elects berlusconi shouldnt be teaching lessons to others .
Leaving easy rhetoric a part, Lufthansa has demonstrated that also in the perfect Germany things can work in an "Italian way" ... welcome into the club to all Germans! P.S. Lufthansa should check its current accounts since, if they knew enough to be considered responsible ... they will have to pay astronomical reparations.
See, that's why they seem to lack self-criticism. There's nothing particularly German about it; that's the way companies operate: never admit you did something wrong, unless you have to. Damage control.
Es ist klar, dass es eine Kommunikationsstrategie ist [it's clear that it's a communication strategy, sorry for my aged recalls of German language], motivated overall by legal issues, in particular eventual legal consequences for Lufthansa. Better to surround the matter with a bit of mist until lawyers will have take over the situation.
As if germans never screwed up? Again you seem to have some irrational resentment . They always pay no matter what. Thats what insurance is for . - - - Updated - - - Not at all I use facts, you use lies .
Germans have got irrational feelings towards Italians ... and since I'm half German ... I've got half irrational feelings towards Italians!!!
