I had you in the crosshairs so I didn't think you would answer.

    People are so easy.

Sorry kid, but you're the only predictable one here, along with the fact that you think Islam is a race, and only Muslims can be Arabs.

You don't got much to brag about here.

I'll help you out, in the future don't throw the race card and a subject that's way more complicated than that.

This is a tough one seeing as how I have no need to fly but if I had to, I'd feel just as uncomfortable to have some airport security flunky fondling me as I would be seated near Middle-Eastern like person.

Solution: Do like me and find someone who can fly you out somewhere for a nominal fee...

baring that they don't end up landing their flying boat in the middle of the Carribean because they were too drunk to land near a pier...

    You take what you get.

    There should be an option:

It would not cross my mind.

So far, almost one third of mostly American voters, have said that they would treat to men they thought may be Muslims, by 'keeping an eye on them at all times'.

I would personally find the concept of a fellow passenger staring at me, every time I looked up, a bit of a threat in itself, wouldn't you?

When has a fellow passenger ever stared at you?

So it's the concept of a fellow passenger staring at you that bothers you?

In a conceptional sense, what kind of passenger would stare at you? Do you have distinctive facial features. A nose too big for your face, a bad case of acne maybe?

It's traditional to find the sword first, and then fall on it, Napier...

    No idea what you mean.

But I bet it is really clever, probably.

I'm with Williams on this one. Granted, as someone else said, an actual hijacker probably wouldn't want to draw attention to himself.

    I thought so, yes! :-D

I wouldn't try falling down indignantly until you have an actual sword under you.

Why not just ask a question, rather than speaking in vague metaphors?

I tend to find it helps the debates.

    Thanks

I wasn't asking a question, Napier. I was pointing out that you're anxious to fall on a sword, and be a martyr. It's the transparent purpose of this thread. You're "raising awareness".

Poor li'l ol' you. Since people who look like they originate in the Middle East were responsible for the plane hijackings, it is natural to profile people of that appearance. Your apologism aside; your attempts to deflect the actuality of that aside, it is perfectly reasonable to bias one's suspicions to the profile that best fits past perpetrators.

Particularly since we've had a couple of examples of exactly that sort of asshat jumping on planes and intentionally acting inflammatory to get a rise out of people.

Do I fear anyone getting on a plane with me, regardless of appearance? No - in fact, they should be afraid of me, because I would relish the opportunity to take all 6'4", 225 pounds of well-trained me to stuff the nearest terrorist wannabe into the plane latrine, and turn them into a smurf.

And yet the voting suggests it's not.

So I guess by 'natural' you actually mean 'what you think'.

    But well done.

The difference is, the Muslim looking folk MIGHT be a threat while the TSA IS a threat...

You didn't finish your own quote. You find the concept threatening.

I , because you had to wait until this thread got some play in the lefty social forum to galvanize a bunch of you to all respond the same way in your poll there, Napier.

Notice anything about the last choice there? I noticed two things:

    1) The last option had only three votes until a page ago.
    2) It went up to 10 votes in 1 day IIRC - and every one of them is a leftist.

    :omg:

    I'm so surprised!

So you attempting to use your poll to "suggest it's not" is a red herring, Jack: liberals do not comprise even 1/3 of the voting public.

No, by natural, I mean...it's natural. That you suppress what is natural is really a subject for a different thread - but all sorts of threads already take on the psychosis which is liberalism.

That made no sense. There is nothing in that statement to explain your response.
