Getting One's Head Out Of One's Behind

There have been a number of people accusing me of being a misogynist; and maybe I should start acting like one. Maybe I should go around slappin hos and shouting about how women are evil and how I owe it to other men to keep them down. I however hold myself to a higher standard of conduct than that.

I have put in vast intellectual and emotional efforts into addressing concerns impacting upon many women. I have experienced danger, financial loss and damage to reputation as part of my efforts toward that effect. If in return I am seen as being a misogynist or anything of the sort, then maybe I should no longer be putting in this kind of effort. Maybe I should let these women fight alt-right, Father's Lobby and others by themselves and have nothing to do with this situation.

So now we are seeing real misogynists on the prowl. And these people would think nothing at all of murdering a woman who is a feminist. So you think you are strong and independent women? Fight them yourselves then, and do not ask for help from me. After all, why on earth would any of you want help from a misogynist?

This irresponsible behavior will backfire on these women bigtime, and it should. You attack men who have goodwill toward women, you make enemy of a crucial ally, you stand to lose. As for me I will be on the other side until these women get their heads out of their behinds. Once they do that, there is real work to be done.

Women sit on the Supreme Court and are senators and governors. Women have reproductive freedom. Women can get credit in their own names when they marry. Men cannot rape their wives. Yep it sure backfired how I miss those good old days of discrimination

I have made my views on this matter quite clear. I want men to be good to women, but I also want women to be good to men. I will not take part in any cause that is actually misogynistic. However neither will I let these self-proclaimed feminists walk all over me. If they really are the strong women that they consider themselves to be, they should be fighting real misogynists such as alt-right and the Ayatollah. It takes very little strength to attack me, but it takes a lot more to fight these real misogynists. So for as long as they have the beliefs that they do, I will not help them in fighting such people. I will however stand up to real misogyny, and of this there is plenty.

Equal rights is fine. Viciousness isn't.

I do want my daughter to have equal rights in society and be able to have a career if she so chose. However neither do I want to see her abused by feminists for being kind and pretty or being discouraged from having a family life if she so chose.

So I will prepare her to deal with whatever dangers are found in either path. I will teach her how to deal with potential nastiness from women, and I will teach her how to judge character so that she would only be with a good man.

Nor am I at all threatened by women. I have had jobs where I had female bosses, and I was completely comfortable with that arrangement.

I would have supported the 1970s feminism, but I was born in 1975. I attended university in America in 1990s, and believe me those people were hateful. Based on my experiences in Russia I used to see women as being better than men; but my experiences in America cured me of that error. I did not correct my stance to that of Eminem. I corrected it to the rational stance: That anything capable of choice is capable of both right choices and wrong choices.

Extremists breed extremists Renee. Feminism has its extreme elements sadly leading the pack so to speak since they fell into the educational system K through university level and are molding the hearts and minds and the Men's Rights Movement has MGTOW which is less organized but appealing to some men nevertheless. Thanks to social media the latter is now able to start leveling the field as it were. But with women making workplaces, higher education and other areas of society unappealing to men in different ways I suspect more men will opt out finding other things to do than deal with women in society any more than is necessary.

But we will see.

 

I don't tell my daughter any such things. I love her. As for teenage rebellion, that happens in just about any situation. I was very rebellious as a teenager, and there were many valid reasons for it. I don't anticipate her being rebellious against me because I do not dictate to her how she can live her life.

. . I guess it’s OK if she has sex and does drugs..Of course we dictate to our kids....and hope their peers don’t overshadow. Teenage rebellion means separation from parents and it is necessary for healthy development.the rebellion could be something like awful music. Or clothes etc.

I actually think that what works best with teenagers is religion. They have something to believe, that also tells them rightful behavior. They get meaning and passion, which teenagers crave, from something that also keeps them on the right path. Right now she is not interested in church, but I am going to continue taking her there and hope that she meets people who would be good for her.

 

If she is not interested in church why force it? She will only resent it more. Perhaps she is a free thinker and doesn’t need to believe in the supernatural. My granddaughters are absolutely incredible girls and both are atheists. They believe in doing good things for humanity, they do good things for others because they want to, not because of the heaven and hell stuff, They are also into sports and those people are very good for her. How old is your daughter

 

Indeed there is nothing wrong with men pointing out the areas in which we are experiencing discrimination. There is nothing wrong with men protesting undeserved hatred of their gender:
