Who gets to define what a cult is? I believe you are part of a leftist cult. Am I right? In a postmodern world with rival castles that despise each other, there is no truth. If there is no truth, there can be no cults. Christianity was a cult all the way up to the point where it took over the Roman empire. History shows that cults are nothing more than those with beliefs that the power elite oppose. Truth of claim has never and will never have anything to do with whether a movement is classified as a cult or not, POWER decides without exception.
Lols! P.T. Barnum sure seems to have made a very very accurate description of a certain cliche of Americans
Very much an accurate representation of many members and leaders of the left. I mean they literally thought Obama was a God sent mesiah lmao.
Karen Johnson went to her Lutheran church so regularly as a child that she won a perfect attendance award. As an adult, she taught Sunday school. But these days, Ms. Johnson, a 67-year-old counter attendant at a slot-machine parlor, no longer goes to church. She still identifies as an evangelical Christian, but she doesn’t believe going to church is necessary to commune with God. “I have my own little thing with the Lord,” she says. Ms. Johnson’s thing includes frequent prayer, she said, as well as podcasts and YouTube channels that discuss politics and “what’s going on in the world” from a right-wing, and sometimes Christian, worldview. No one plays a more central role in her perspective than Donald J. Trump, the man she believes can defeat the Democrats who, she is certain, are destroying the country and bound for hell. Trump Is Connecting With a Different Type of Evangelical Voter They are not just the churchgoing, conservative activists who once dominated the G.O.P. www.nytimes.com Where do all these nuts come from?
That I can't answer but what stuns me is the actual physical number of them and they certainly vote! It's a gold mine for exploitation....
Well clearly it isn't the type of ad that will appeal to everyone. I also think people that aren't into this type of ad that are in for Trump won't be impacted by it. Maybe I don't understand the evangelical crowd but I would think it could offend some of them. Lets hope his campaign/marketing team knows what they are doing. This is not much different from some religious commercials I see on FOX that make me say "what the heck did I just watch?".
I am sure that the vast majority of people in that picture are good, hard-working people. Unfortunately, they have their brain attached 24/7 to the Fox News and RW media propaganda machine. That's why the have such a deep, emotional attachment to Trump. As to your quote on "pontificating intellectuals", you accuse the MSM of peddling hate, but your quote could also be interpreted as hate for intellectuals. It goes both ways. BTW, I consider myself an "intellectual", due to my work in academia, but I know how to fix my riding mower or repair a toilet. I have built a tee house for my kids. Even though you might think so, it is not just the blue collar workers who know how to work with their hands. Of course, your assumption again shows disdain of the intellectuals, that is now so common in RW circles. RWers believe that they all sit in ivory towers on cushy jobs and dream up pie in the sky ideas. That's how they are painted as subhuman.
Of course you will! Y’all love to pick and choose which sins you like and which ones you don’t — even though abortion is never classified as a sin in any religious book and even gives instructions on doing so. I sometimes hope your god is real — just so it can show you the error of your ways.
Hmmm. Interesting thread. I'm not picking on anyone, BUT: The pilgrims came to America to escape religious prosecution and our later written constitution was heavy with biblical references. Scroll ahead 250 years and "educated" people are hating on them and calling them "nuts". Our enemies regard our country as an interloper upsetting "the way it has always been", and want to go back to "the way it always was". The biggest issue facing America today is failing and a representative government and becoming just another autocracy with a thin veneer of "rights" - AKA "the way it has always been". BTW. Do we know how many people watched the video? 100 or 100,000, more or less?
The sad part is that some schmuck brought a young person (upper left) to be exposed to this form of idolatry... It's gonna be hard to bring any of them back to reality, but the youth might be worth the effort...
Obama has never posted a video claiming to be the messiah. Nor has Biden. On the other hand, some of your friends are wearing that shirt:
Never mind his campaign team. This was posted by TRUMP. Does HE know what he's doing? If this was created by his campaign team (and not a parody) they're the scariest morons but... who cares about them? Remember, it's TRUMP, not his campaign team, who is aspiring to be President. Do YOU want a President that thinks of himself as the second coming of Hitler... I mean... of Christ
You dont know me nor my friends. And some people are religious and believe that Jesus saved them. And They support Trump. Cool. But the reality is, democrats thought Obama was an actual Messiah. LOL.
Tying that to him implying he's the 2nd coming is a STRETCH. I don't care what he thinks of himself as, I care what his policies are. The problem with most of ya'll lefties is you vote based on who you'd like to "hang out with". Do you people also buy cars based on how "cool" they look? Sheesh!
In his own egocentric way, Trump has one feature that completely escapes his hyperliberal Leftist critics -- a sense of humor! And he seems to enjoy nothing so much as pissing them off as much as possible, as often as he can. Meanwhile, we ALL "fiddle while Rome burns"....
I've given you plenty of chances, but talking to you is a monumental waste of time. I'm sending you to my ignore list. Goodbye.
I dont care what you choose to do. If the truth is to much for you, then by all means hide from it. Thats not my fault.
