I'm not getting into it. You can post something if you wish and I'll read it but I won't reply any further.

I would be okay with limiting abortion to the first trimester when it's still an embryo.

Changing from a Democrat to a Republican is like changing from a turd into a pile of vomit...Keep reaching for perfection...

Lucky in the sense that it's cheaper for parents! Still, only about 30 something percent of people DO go to university here. Really only those who come from well heeled families and/or are very determined to do a particular job. We have few 'time filler' type students here, who's parents fund college just because it's the done thing, but don't really care what course their kids do. Also, we only have academic scholarships (no sports or other scholarships) .. so that cuts down on a lot of the time wasters.

Meantime, I was raised by raving lefties who were also vegetarians, hippies, and atheists. And I was born in the 1960s. Yes, my parents were that hip :blankstare: I have no conception of what it's like to grow up with traditional conservatism. It's a very alien beast, to me. What I remember of childhood is ice-cream sweetened with honey (sugar was the devil), no tv (tv was the devil), kaftans, watery yoghurt, incense, Beethoven, and Joe Cocker.

No meat, no God, no war, just lovemaking and drugs. Sounds great but it only works into they realize somebody has to go to work to pay for everything and somebody has to fight to protect their drugs from the bad men who want to take them.

I don't really consider myself either a rep or dem because I don't agree with either party on all the issues.

    This is me! :)

    http://uscentrist.org/about/party/what-is-centrist

Centrists don't have party lines. Centrists believe that solutions are more important than bias. While there is no set rule for what a Centrist is, there are some generally accepted guidelines that seem to depict the Centrist mode of thought. Centrism is a political ideology based on reason and pragmatism considerate of short and long term thinking - Centrism is not defined by compromise or moderation, it is considerate of them. Centrism is about achieving common sense solutions that appropriately address current and future needs; support the public trust; and serve the common good with consideration of risk and capacity in context of these needs.
Modern definitions sometimes conflate Centrism with moderation but the Centrist Party tenets generally oppose moderate views. Let's just call moderates 'moderates' and Centrists 'Centrist'.

Salient points about Centrism from the CP perspective:

Centrism is not about doing what is popular, it is about doing what is right.
Centrism is not moderate but rather supports strength, tradition, open mindedness and policy based on evidence not ideology.
Centrism is not about compromise but rather allows for it as reasonable.

Occasionally my views have evolved based on information (more than arguments/opinions) provided on a forum. I consider these debates an opportunity to learn and grow.

And that, incidentally, is one reason I get annoyed with the constant childish back-and-forth I see go on here. It's ultimately a waste of time. To be clear, I'm definitely not accusing you of engaging in this, as in fact you're one of those who is refreshingly mature, thoughtful and informed/informative. :)

Well someone knows how to flatter a girl.
How come you didn't say I was pretty? Don't you think I'm pretty? It's okay to go off topic because we're in the casual forum for off topic conversation.

This site is having a glitch and we can't upload our own avatars. We can only select from the avatars they give us. So I picked a cat.
I've posted pictures of myself in various places within a post. It's the only way we can show pictures.

No one sees my underwear photos.

Edit... I might run for office one day. First ladies can have underwear and nude photos on the internet. Presidents can't.

One of that sites "Centrists" blurted out he voted for Gary Johnson.

Gary rose to fame as a business man. Sounds like Donald Trump to me.
Gary became a governor. Yes, as a republican.

Gary supported business. Gee, so does Trump.

Gary fought and won based on lower taxes.

We note that is also true about Trump.

I don't get why this dude who says he is a centrist does not like Trump but really likes Gary Johnson. Also, both men had a chance to become president. Guess who won?

    But you wanted more flattery.

Did you fail to notice i was LOL since I actually was trying to use humor?

PS, must i now remove all of your photos from my album? Good grief, I am kidding again.

By the way, I wish I could show you photos of my very beautiful daughter.

For now, I can only e mail them. Windows 10 for some odd reason must not like me at all.

If I had a few centuries to vote for presidents, I could waste years and years by voting only for Libertarians.

Why them? They preach freedom and all kinds of neat things.

But when one is my age, one knows they lack such time.

I do my best to vote for whom represents as much of my views that has millions of people supporting them. Are my preferences the greatest?

Well no. But are my preferences the sole practical way for my vote to matter? Yes.

I could have voted for Gary Johnson whose virtues include his stint over a 8 year republican governorship. That makes me truly like the man. That he is awesome in business, great marks.

But how much support did he get?

    Very little.

I saw Trump as a winner. In many areas I truly think Johnson could have been better as president.

But he more than likely never will cut the mustard with the public.

So I left with a genuine winner.

We suffered Obama far too much to chance a Hillary as president.

Putting photos on photobucket and linking them here will work. Doesn't matter what kind of computer you're using.

Johnson would do himself an enormous favor by remaining a republican. So long as he hangs out on the fringes, he has no chance.

Gary is about 58 million votes short of being president.

Still he has advanced a bit.
