Here is another option, other than asking the government to take care of us all. https://mises.org/library/four-step-healthcare-solution A Four-Step Healthcare Solution
The ACA is a criminal farce. Obama's brutal legacy, and one which demonstrates his utter lack of concern for the rational best needs of the People. He was, and is, a corporatist and an empty suit.
Medical insurance used to be a great product. If one becomes injured or comes down with a serious illness, you are better off here. It is now called "Health Care" and is designed to mask symptoms so that the illness can progress. The patient gets sicker while the pharm industry enjoys record profits.
The problem is that both parties are utterly corrupt, conservative and controlled by Big Money, including Big Insurance. They LOVE the ACA. Hell - they WROTE it alongside Big Pharma. The rational needs of the People never had a chance - as per usual - and Obama revealed who he really is early on by refusing to even fight for the right thing.
Had he done the right thing and failed - which he should have - no second term. No second term, no "legacy." And to Obama, it's all about Obama. He started running for his second term the night he was elected. He's just another politician concerned about winning at any cost, and 100% beholden to Big Money.
Costs were already skyrocketing for those with pre-existing conditions and other high risk factors; Obama just married the virtually uninsurable to everyone else, and voila - Big Insurance got what it wanted. Medicare for ALL was and is the only sane, decent solution.
Well, tens of millions are either uninsured or under-insured, and the latter are paying outrageous prices for substandard plans. Thanks, Obama. Seriously - this one's on Obama.
It's the sane, decent way to go, and the majority of citizens - including doctors and nurses - want it. So of course it's a no go.
Medicare for ALL is the only sane and decent alternative. But sadly, it's not what Big Money wants anymore than Big Money wants any real control over illegal immigration. So we have tens of millions of vulnerable people. But Big Money (and its cheerleaders) are happy, so that's it. Case closed.
Here is Senator Rand Paul discussing the problem with HC in the US. On point he makes here is that higher deductibles will result in lower prices. When the Drs are forced to charge the patients because the insurance companies are not going to pay until the deductible has been met, prices will come down.
Medicare for ALL is the only sane & decent alternative. But Big Money owns our system, and Big Money (and its lackeys) don't want the sane and decent thing.
Who is having trouble getting health care? Big money wants more people taking pharm products and for you to ignore that taking these products only makes people sicker.
One third of those choose to remain uninsured. https://www.bizjournals.com/washington/blog/2014/03/onethird-of-americans-will-choose-to-remain.html
you said that like 3 times now. If you don't have anything else, thank you. I would like to discuss this rationally.
Low information voters went to the polls back in 2008 and put a community organizer into the White House.
Who is having trouble getting health care? -> Tens of millions. Big money wants more people taking pharm products and for you to ignore that taking these products only makes people sicker. -> Huh? Big Pharma sucks, yes.
So, a third of uninsured choose to be so because they are well off, and another third if uninsured are eligible for assistance but for some reason are not. http://pnhp.org/blog/2018/10/03/one...ll-firm-low-income-families-remain-uninsured/
