Ah, got it. When God says you may not do something, he's just offering a suggestion. Good to know. Red Lobster will be relieved. Deuteronomy 14:9-10 "These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat. And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you."
Well, I am of the opinion that decent folks condemn others for using homophobic and bigoted vitriol. I don't disagree. However, it looks like her words have repercussions, in this case others using their words.
Ridiculous premise. Black folks are protected by law from discrimination, gun carriers are protected by the Constitution as a guaranteed right.
God said that to the Israelites, not to all generations everywhere. It's impossible for you to prove your stupid argument that this applies to everyone Jew or Gentile because there's no justification for such a breathtakingly blockish claim.
Whoa, now. You're starting to overflow with tears. Her words will not have negative repercussions, as Big Earl's has garnered an insane amount of publicity and support. If anything, their business will become even more successful.
I see no indication their business is successful currently, and it would appear the repercussions are the whole country knows Big Earl's daughter is a bigot.
All publicity is good publicity; believe me, they have garnered tons of support on all types of social media, and in the Pitssburg, Texas area.
Or that the homosexual couple were classless sleazes. How can people determine is two people are GAY, just by their having breakfast? Der...
All publicity is good publicity. Interesting. Here's a news story about a restaurant with a cockroach infestation. http://www.london24.com/news/quirky...ted_west_end_restaurant_closed_down_1_3623004 Good publicity, isn't it? Why, I bet folks are much more likely to eat there.
Maybe. Does that justify calling them names? Using such vitriolic and hateful language? Hmmm? If you do not like a black person, and think he is less than classy, do you just drop the big bad N word and then expect everyone to think you are swell for doing it?
Hmm. You seem very concerned with others' calling wrongdoers names, but you don't think twice about insulting my religion and branding me as a racist/homophobic.
Really. No, not me. And not you. The courts. I'm sorry you didn't understand when you read the Bill of Rights that no legal right is guaranteed absolutely. Since you asked nicely though I'll clue you in: each right is balanced against all the other rights, including the right of this nation to protect itself. That's why we guarantee the right to vote, but deny it to prisoners and children. It's why we guarantee the right to free speech but issue cease and disses orders. It's why we guarantee the right to life, but execute criminals. It's why we guarantee freedom of religion, but prohibit folks from slaughtering chickens in their apartments or erecting mangers in public schools. It's why we guarantee the right of free of association, but deny people the option to vote for same race only public schools or mixed sex only state marriages.
One can refuse service to folk speaking through their clothing choices and carrying arms as protected in the 2nd but we cannot refuse service to folk whose behavior offends ones first amendment sensibilities...In short, some 'protected' behaviors are more protected than others and the only difference between behaviors is political correctness...
Could someone explain to me why the homosexual rights crowd always tries to link a personal lifestyle choice to a racial identity which is not a personal lifestyle choice?
One has the right to open carry...that does not mean every location has to allow your weapon in that location. If you removed your weapon or arrived without your weapon...If the business owner or manager still restricts your service base on your 2nd amendment advocacy, THEN that would be a violation of your 14th and 5th amendment rights. A homosexual or a black person can't leave their blackness or gayness at home or the car.
That was not his claim.......finding vindication for him is going to be difficult especially since he refuses to "turn the other cheek"
There's nothing insulting about calling God a myth. It's not his God and nor is it his religion. No-one owns either of those entities and nor does anyone have any authority over anyone else when discussing or describing them. People can choose to be insulted when the God they believe in is called a myth if they like. I've noticed certain Muslims favour that kind of victimhood play, for instance.
