Trump should have released these things years ago because the American people deserved to know about Trump’s improprieties, from conflicts of interest to influence peddling, potential tax evasion and violations of the Constitution - all of which can be traced back to his financials. That demand took on more emphasis when Trump's longtime personal attorney testified publicly and implicated Trump in at least eleven felonies, many of which can be corroborated by reviewing his tax returns.

The House Ways and Means Committee is expected to only request 10 years of his personal (as opposed to business) tax returns, and any communications between the IRS and Trump, in order to short circuit an almost certain legal challenge. In fact, a predicted legal defense to this request has already engulfed dozens of hours from Trump's lawyers and GOP defenders.

Trump's "red line" is getting desecrated on a daily basis and I am running out of popcorn.

 

I bet this will be the scoop of the century. Just like when MadCow got one of his tax returns.

Individual income tax returns — including those of public figures — are private information, protected by law from unauthorized disclosure. The Internal Revenue Service is barred from releasing any taxpayer information whatsoever, except to authorized agencies and individuals.

 

The Hiuse Ways and Means Committee is one such agency.

But it should be noted that they do not automatically then have the right to publicly disclose what they obtain.

Does Hillary's influence peddling, pay to play selling of her office bother you?

 

Why stop at trump? All of Congressman and senators should have to do it too. Then I would be on board.

Trump has been audited by the IRS every year since 1975. The idea that there's some massive crime hidden in his tax returns is preposterous.

 

Then he should have no problem turning them over.

not without a warrant and to obtain that warrant you have to show evidence of a crime you cant obtain someone's tax returns to look for a crime and that is what democrats are attempting to do

The House Ways and Means Committee does not need a warrant, but even if they did need to show evidence of a crime - Cohen testified under oath on Wednesday that Trump is implicated in no fewer than 11 felonies, several of which can be corroborated by looking at his personal tax returns.

 

Trump should live up to his word

 

The House has the legal right to subpoena Trump's returns.

No suspected crime by Trump is required.

 

Now we KNOW it is a witch hunt. {period}
