I said from the beginning that this "investigation" was going to hurt Democrats more than Republicans. This is going to be a HUGE topic during the next election and the holes are going to be brought to the attention of the public.

    They are pretty big holes

I'll jump in: because the vast majority of the public sees right through the charade of the Trump investigation, which is about as subtle as a train wreck, and are getting extremely tired of the fraud that Mueller and the Democrats are so proud and self-assured of.

That investigation has yielded numerous prosecutions and a number of guilty pleas by now.

Suggesting that is a charade is ridiculous.

Yet not one per Mueller's appointment to investigate Russian interference and Trump collusion. A charade by definition.

The 500-page inspector general's report released Thursday reveals how unjustified secrecy and poor decisions helped ravage the credibility of both Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the FBI.

The inspector general report on the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton contained plenty of bombshells, including a promise by lead FBI investigator Peter Strzok that “we’ll stop” Donald Trump from becoming president. The report reveals how unjustified secrecy and squirrelly decisions helped ravage the credibility of both Clinton’s presidential campaign and the FBI. But few commentators are recognizing the vast peril to democracy posed by the sweeping prerogatives of federal agencies.

    Real Clear Politics:

MARK LEVIN: I went through this major report here, I see several things. Number one, out of all the texts, all the documents, all the emails that have been reviewed. You know what’s interesting, Sean? There is not a single pro-Trump text. There’s not a single anti-Hillary text. There’s not a single pro-Trump senior FBI official. There’s not a single anti-Hillary FBI official. This was a cabal. And what these people had as their purpose, to interfere with a presidential election.

They interfered with this presidential election worse than the Russian could say have ever dreamed of. And I am no fan of Vladimir Putin and the Russians. Let me tell you that.

James Comey’s FBI, there was collusion. The media in this report appalling — giving gifts and tickets to sporting events and golf outings in exchange, apparently, for leaks. You have a culture of leaks at the FBI. The buck stops with Comey. This is Comey. Comey disgraced. McCabe, criminal referrals. Have you ever heard of an FBI like this? You have obstruction.

President Obama was one of a select handful of individuals who had “direct contact” with Hillary Clinton on her private email account, Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz indicated in his bombshell report Thursday on the Clinton email probe.

In a footnote, the DOJ watchdog notes that “FBI analysts and Prosecutor 2 told us that former President Barack Obama was one of the 13 individuals with whom Clinton had direct contact using her clintonemail.com account.

But the Obama DOJ hid this from the American public.
In fact, the Obama Deep State scrubbed Obama’s name from the FBI report on Hillary Clinton’s email investigation.

Washington Examiner has more details on the media’s involvement with the FBI:

Dozens of FBI agents violating policy by schmoozing with the press: IG report

So many FBI officials are talking to the press and attending “social events” with the media that it’s impossible to say who might have leaked confidential information to the media during the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private emails, according to a report from the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General.

That report said the IG has “profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review.”…

The IG also found social interactions between FBI personnel and journalists that “were, at a minimum, inconsistent with FBI policy and Department ethics rules.”

“[W]e identified instances where FBI employees received tickets to sporting events from journalists, went on golfing outings with media representatives, were treated to drinks and meals after work by reporters, and were the guests of journalists at nonpublic social events.”

There hasn't exactly been a media blitz to report on Horowitz congressional testimony. Horowitz admitted that Strzoks bias did impact decisions he made while investigating. That admission didn't stave off committees open mockery of opinions Horowitz expressed in his report though. The overall sense I get is that the OIG has no issues with confirming the individual agents misconduct, but is trying not to be cornered on the politicalization of the agency itself. But the FGI's new "bias training" mandate betrays what Horowitz honestly thinks is behind the whole ugly chapter.

OIG's Executive Summary reveals the motive for FBI/DOJ's scheme to obstruct justice and cover up the crimes of "senior government official"s.

"• A paragraph summarizing the factors that led the FBI to assess that it was possible that hostile actors accessed Clinton’s server was added, and at one point referenced Clinton’s use of her private email for an exchange with then President Obama while in the territory of a foreign adversary. This reference later was changed to “another senior government official,” and ultimately was omitted."

Nail Hillary and you nail Obama,
    Hillary's felonies get a pass.

The FBI’s investigation of Clinton was spurred by her decision to set up a private server to handle her email during her four years as secretary of State. The server in her mansion in Chappaqua, N.Y., was insecure and exposed emails with classified information to detection by foreign sources and others.

Clinton effectively exempted herself from the federal Freedom of Information Act. The State Department ignored 17 FOIA requests for her emails before 2014 and insisted it required 75 years to disclose emails of Clinton's top aides.

A federal judge and the State Department inspector general slammed the FOIA stonewalling.

Clinton’s private email server was not publicly disclosed until she received a congressional subpoena in 2015. A few months later, the FBI Counterintelligence Division opened a criminal investigation of the “potential unauthorized storage of classified information on an unauthorized system.”

It is. Both the Hillary White Wash and the Trump Witch Hunt were launched under the assumption that Hillary would win, so, they always expected to remain in control of the Executive Branch. They expected that all Congressional requests would be met by a President asserting privilege, not one say "Cooperate with Congressional Investigators!"

Sean Davis tweeted: Obama knew about Hillary’s secret e-mail scheme, because she e-mailed him using her private address “while in the territory of a foreign adversary.” That finding was removed from Comey’s statement exonerating Clinton.
