Same sex is very normal to those attracted to their same sex.

A damn good point. Too many of my conservative brethren are willing to ignore certain values when they go against other values. That's supposed to be a time to sit back and figure out where your principles lie.

Our planet is at risk of overpopulation not under-population. If half the population became gay, we would see less forest converted to cities and farmland, less energy demands, less food and water demands, less traffic, lower housing prices, and less overpopulation in general. Many developing nations are facing massive populations that technological growth can barely keep up to support. In the US, we have enough skilled people who want to immigrate that population decline won't ever be a problem. If our species is driven to extinction, it won't be from gays, its going to be from nuclear war, rogue AI, rogue nanobots, the advance in easily made super-weapons or robots, a genetically engineered or naturally according drug-resistant super-virus or bacteria, runaway climate change, or something else we do to the planet. We shouldn't be trying to pump out more people, and instead be more careful about our technology.

 

Your issue is that you see sexual preferences as core to identity. Mac was speaking solely to the action of homosexual sex of having no use. That is not equivalent to the people, who enjoy such sex, as having no use. I am sure you still see no difference between the two.
