How come republicans can't see that Trump is a fascist wannabe?

Politicians who challenge and even reduce the power of the state are anti-Fascist, and are the targets of the secret police agencies.
Fascists are on the Big Government end of the spectrum.

The inconvenient truth is that many on the Left praised Hitler and Mussolini until Hitler broke the Hitler/Stalin Pact and invaded the USSR.

"With this ideological background of the time, Fidel clearly revealed who his heroes were in his personal life. He walked soberly around the campus with a copy of *Mein Kampf (La Lucha) under his arm; in his room, he had a map on his wall upon which he charted the movements and successes of the Axis armies across Europe; for hours, he would stand before a mirror holding a primitive, early recorder, and mimicking Mussolini's speeches over and over again." Georgie Anne Geyer, "Guerilla Prince," "The Untold Story of Fidel Castro," Little Brown & Company, Boston 1991, p 42.

Pure BS. Trump would have to remove the authority from the other branches of govt and the positions of office in those branches to consolidate any to himself. He's not. He's after the people in those positions for apparently criminal conduct. They'll be replaced by folks who have just as much check against the executive as there is now.

The Left used to know that the secret police/spy agencies were the real fascist threat.

"But cheering for the CIA and its shadowy allies to unilaterally subvert the U.S. election and impose its own policy dictates on the elected president is both warped and self-destructive. Empowering the very entities that have produced the most shameful atrocities and systemic deceit over the last six decades is desperation of the worst kind. Demanding that evidence-free, anonymous assertions be instantly venerated as Truth — despite emanating from the very precincts designed to propagandize and lie — is an assault on journalism, democracy, and basic human rationality. And casually branding domestic adversaries who refuse to go along as traitors and disloyal foreign operatives is morally bankrupt and certain to backfire on those doing it."

Eisenhower outed our corrupt Deep State in his farewell address. Why deny the obvious?
    Trump is an anti-Fascist.

He also drove away our allies, sucked up to our enemies (especially Putin), ignored global warming, failed miserably in dealing with Covid-19, lost more Americans to death than any President in history other than Wilson (1918 flu) & F. Roosevelt (WWII), used his political office to enrich himself (which is illegal), severely damaged the functionality of several of our oldest governmental institutions (the FBI, CIA, Foreign Service, & others), and he has lied to the American people about the honesty & integrity of our elections, sowing doubt where none has ever existed before. Trump likes division rather than union. He divides this nation & its people rather than uniting them. Trump is a leadership disaster & a national disgrace. Trump doesn't have a clue about making America great again. The way to actually do that is to find new ways to expand human rights to include every American rather than the wealthy elitist few. When America lives the ideals expressed in our Declaration of Independence applied to everyone, then it will be great again. Not before.

There is no evidence that Trump intends to go around the courts and bypass the due process to enforce the law.

This sounds like paranoia to me.

Trump is the undisputed champion of derogatory name calling. If you're going to fault Joe Biden, be fair enough to consider Trump & his childish antics.

I agree with your point, but connected to that misstep was the coverage of about 20 million more Americans for access to healthcare. Try to see the whole picture rather than just the parts you disagree with.

The items I mentioned were each & every one true, but represent no more than the tip of the iceberg where Trump poses a threat to the continuation of human rights for me, you & every other American. Fox News doesn't discuss these issues because they don't want its viewers to see the threat, but MSNBC & CNN both cover these items daily. I don't care about Trump. I care about America. And the two don't thrive together.

It wasn't as complete national healthcare system. It was a stepping stone toward universal access. It had problems that needed fixing from the beginning. Democrats knew that & planned fixing them over time, but Republicans took control of Congress & stopped any fixing. They're still trying to kill Obamacare without replacing it with a better system. They've had almost 4 years to offer a new plan--a better plan--but have offered nothing but criticism against Obamacare & Democrats. Like Trump, Republicans are interested in ripping apart possible solutions rather than fixing anything. Like Trump, Republicans feel that blaming others is an answer to any problem. Truth is, blame resolves nothing--ever.

    Let me try

    Trump: Elected as President
Trump: Openly criticized by the media on an hourly basis and within months of his election had multiple celebrities and public figures openly publishing videos of him being murdered
Trump: Unable to do much of anything independently without approval from the Legislative branch of government
Trump: Unwilling/unable to send Federal law enforcement to individual States which are actively being looted and burned and destroyed by thousands of anarchists and domestic terrorists for the past 6+ months

Well ****...I mean if we are being open and honest the guy is basically Hitler.

The Atlantic also has reports from undocumented sources that within weeks of Trumps inauguration The Republican Party was secretly drafting a Reichstag Fire Decree to give Trump absolute power. Trump thought they had it done which is why he tried to Muslim ban from known terrorist countries but was subsequently shot down by the courts.

Trump is the worst dictator in the history of humanity....lowering my taxes and letting me keep AK-47s in my closet and letting me openly call him a dumb fat idiot in public without repercussion. Hitler must be crying tears of joy from Hell right now as he watches his dream finally come to fruition.

    :roflol::roflol: Gasp! :roflol::roflol::roll::roflol:[/QUOTE]

    AntiFa is Fa.

"Last weekend in Berkeley, Calif., a group of neo-communist antifa — “anti-fascist” — thugs attacked peaceful protesters at a “No to Marxism in America” rally, wielding sticks and pepper spray, and beating people with homemade shields that read (I kid you not) “No Hate.” The Post reports how one peaceful protester “was attacked by five black-clad antifa members, each windmilling kicks and punches into a man desperately trying to protect himself.” Members of the Berkeley College Republicans were then stalked by antifa goons who followed them to a gas station and demanded they “get the [expletive] out” of their car, warning, “We are real hungry for supremacists and there is more of us.”

The organizer of the anti-Marxism protest is not a white supremacist. Amber Cummings is a self-described “transsexual female who embraces diversity” and had announced on Facebook that “any racist groups like the KKK [and] Neo Nazis . . . are not welcome.” The protest was needed, Cummings said, because “Berkeley is a ground zero for the Marxist Movement.”
