You're saved if you can walk on water and tell a mountain to jump into the sea and it will do as you command it. Jesus might have been able to walk on water but he never did move the mountain so he got crucified.
Considering that I haven't been to church in over a decade except for one Christmas service with the family, and that even when I did go to churh I spent the entire time drawing pictures on those communion cards or thinking about banging the hot chick two rows up from me. I am going to go out on a limb and say that I am probably not invited.
How about you (or any theist) give us your personal perspective. A hit and run theist asked the question, but didn't even attempt to answer it - despite couching it in terms suggesting he had an answer.
Dear Crank; After careful consideration it has been decided by the committee that you have been saved. Please bear in mind that after you receive this notification; should you change your behavior in any negative way, your status as a saved soul will be subject to revocation. You will not be notified of any change or adjustment of your status. Be assured however that you barely qualified and close attention is being paid to your activities during the short time you have left. Congratulations on your narrow escape from an eternity of suffering. Respectfully the Staff (no reply necessary)
No you don't. all applicants are considered. Just by 'wondering' if you are going to be saved, is an automatic application. Doesn't matter if you believe that the Universe was created by a huge Earthworm.
I believe Q created the universe, just to see how long it would take his various critters to find each other in it. He's very curious, and a little bit of a nancy.
Right Wing, will you PLEASE give us YOUR answer to YOUR question... How do you know if you are saved....specifically?
Hay, I pented my house about 8 years ago. Next summer I plan on re-penting it. Some of the pent is starting to wear.
As to Jesus and God being One and the same person in the Holy Trinity there is no question after Jesus said these words. "I and my Father are One." -- JOHN 10:29 (KJV)
I imagine they do. I imagine pretty much anything the peasantry are instructed to do in the name of an invisible sky man hinges on the belief that such a thing exists. And there's your problem .... once the chain of inherited (indoctrinated) belief is broken, hardly anyone is going to believe such a thing. Do YOU believe in other invisible beings? Or only the one you grew up with?
The gospel of Jesus = Matthew 15:24 (CEB) = Jesus replied, Ive been sent only to the lost sheep, the people of Israel. Matthew 13:13-15 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew 13:13-15&version=NKJV;ERV;CEB;CEV;MSG
Don't worry about opinions. Worry about the truth. One is saved by grace through faith, surrendering to God, believing in Jesus Christ and repentance. Believe and repent. If you truly desire to know if you are saved, then watch the videos, but more importantly examine yourself. Read the book of 1 John and examine yourself. If you want to know about a subject, what better way than to research? So, if you want to know how to know you are saved, read the Bible. Read the book of 1 John.
