Kinda new here and curious. When I started you had to be 21 to cast a ballot. I've voted since the Eisenhower administration. It's the strangest campaign I have ever seen that we are currently observing.
When I was a kid, my mom used to let us vote on what she was going to fix for dessert. It resulted in fist fights breaking out in the house, so we went back to autocratic rule as to desserts. It was the most valuable political lesson I learned ever. I have voted ever since I was old enough to do it. My first formal vote was in city elections though.
Ross Perot got my first vote. Once I figured out I could do early voting by mail I have never missed an election or proposal at any level of government.
