When I was a teenager I had a 1977 diesel powered VW rabbit with a four speed manual. It was very slow and the top speed was around 60 mph (if I had no passengers in the car) which was enough for the slow lane in the freeway if your route was flat. There was one street of road near my parents house with a big downhill followed by a big up hill... I would floor it the entire time and maybe get as high as 70+ on the down hill but despite continuing to floor it my speed would be like 20mph by the time I got up the hill on the other side. Fuel economy was about 45mpg.

I think I had to replace the head three times because I kept over heating it trying to get the P.O.S. to go faster. Ahh, to be 17 again.

Forbs says exactly zero. They spent billions but not a single new charger was installed under that slush fund.

WRT the earlier discussion where a certain poster claimed I was lying about California Democrats strangling roof top solar in the state despite saying solar was vital for mythical "climate change" (80% of emissions come from the 3rd world so killing western economies won't change anything).

    https://www.pv-magazine.com/2023/12...ons-drop-80-following-new-net-metering-rules/

For those who don't want to click the link solar installations are down 80% since April when Democrats reduced the price customers get for selling energy back to the grid by 85%. Without financial benefits for installing solar most people won't cough up the $20,000+ to do it. A battery which doesn't last very long costs another $15,000. Most houses need 2-3 batteries in order to make it a few hours during a blackout. Worse, the batteries only last about 10 years.

Politicians make promises but never seem to have to defend a lack of results. The 500,000 charging stations was a pretty dramatic promise. If Biden is actually physically capable of any pre-election debate he should be asked to explain his promises v. lack of results.

A Democrat take responsibility for their corrupt hair brain schemes failing to deliver anything yet costing tax payers billions? Ha! They just hope no one looks at how they corruptly gave billions to their donors while taxpayers got nothing but the bill.
