OK, so you thought that it didn't matter what the 99% thought about US poverty , social injustice and war and that pro-democracy demonstrations and arrests were simply something that happened elsewhere overseas as part of the US of AIPAC hegemony agenda. This must come as shock to you, a bit like having your head split with a night-stick.

Let's see if I can understand your hypocritical opinion. You think that the OWS people are grass roots but the Tea Party People are stupid and don't deserve a voice??

Tell me what connection Republicans have with the cities that have cracked the heads of these OWS progressive led fools??

It does not surprise me that the liberal horde relates to and supports the lawless actions we see coming from the OWS punks.

They are the lunatic fringe, since they organized sit-ins to steal the election from the duly elected Al Gore.

    WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

If they steal another election, these mobs that you are currently seeing will grow to the point where they march straight to the White House and lynch republicans the was Musollini was lynched.

    DELICIOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

    Yeah, that's about right.

The difference here is that, as stupid as the Tea Party's voice was, nobody tried to keep 'em from demonstrating.

What happens to all those fat New York cops that are beating the heads of women sitting on the pavements and kicking and punching them as they sit?

Who is leading the investigation into this and the rapes?

More than 1 in 5 U.S. children poor, Census says
The number of children in the United States considered poor rose by 1 million in 2010, the U.S. Census said Thursday, with more than one in five of the youngest Americans now living in poverty .

So no matter how many dems are elected by dead people the liberal horde will hang republicans?

You have a TEA Party event that in comparable in mind? When has the TEA Party people blocked traffic for any reason? When did they shlt on the streets?

I didn't notice that the cops were that fat but I did notice that they women were ugly and stupid.

The police are investigating the rapes that are reported but the OWS leaders are asking the women not to report being raped.

So what? The poorest 5% of our country still lives a higher quality of life than 70% of the globe.

I'd say that's pretty good for a nation of 310 million. I defy any single nation in Europe to equal it.

Hell I defy any nation on EARTH to offer that kind of prosperity to 310 million people.

310 million, imagine that sheer number, and we provide even the poorest of them with a quality of life better than the vast majority of people living on the globe. If that isn't success.. what the (*)(*)(*)(*) is??

Actually both groups are stupid extremists and don't deserve a voice. One group believes that the government is the root of all evil and wants to cut it to the size where they can drown it in the bathtub...without explaining who is going to build roads and bridges and take care of the elderly, poor, sick, and protect the environment from the polluters and the population from unscrupulous businesses...

The other bunch of ignorant morons believes that it's the banks that are the devil, attacking a successful player instead of attacking the game and trying to change the rules of the game. What exactly do they expect banks to do, start losing money on purpose, hire people they don't need, or perhaps lay off people, close their doors increasing the unemployment and eliminating any kind of lending in the world?

PS contrary to the OP's spin the protests have nothing to do with democracy... social justice perhaps, lack of well paying jobs but certainly not with the lack of democracy in the US .

Did you write the title of the thread or somebody else? The Pakistanni Newspaper the article is from? "Pro-democracy"? When has OWS ever been a pro democracy movement?

Tea Party complied with the law. All the space they occupied, they had permits to occupy the space. Had the required liability bonds and required # of porta potties, based upon the size of the event. In other words, they complied with the law. OWS has been violating the law from day one. More relevant question would be why the TEA Party was required to comply with the law while OWS isnt required. We even have our President endorsing them doing so.

I guess this what they mean by democracy. Restrictive laws that apply to people, not of their political persuasion, and not to themselves.

Poor kids get free food at school and at home in the form of food assistance from the state.

Poor people get free housing, cell phones and will soon be given free high speed internet which means that they will have cable for their big screen TVs.

The richest thing in the lives of every person in America is the opportunity to achieve whatever they are willing to work for. With opportunity come responsibility which the OWS people don't want to face. These punks want their hands held and their butts wiped until someone "GIVES" them a job that has no accountability.

I may be stupid but I'm not an extremist and haven't met one at a TEA Party meeting. We do believe that the a government allowed to regulate us should be closely watched by the people.

You may remember that Barry/Obama promised to build roads with the stimulus and his use of that money to buy votes from union members is what sparked the TEA Party to grow. We agreed to spend the money to building roads and bridges but "there weren't as many shovel ready projects as we thought".

80% of the green energy stimulus money went to companies associated with people who raised big money for Obama.

The elderly, poor and sick are better off than in any other country on the planet. Global warming is such a joke that the promoters of American decline in the name of protecting us from the evil polluters have changed the name of their movement to "Climate Change". I can point to that just about every day.

People taken in by unscrupulous business need to raise their head from time to time and look around. the internet is a much better control over business than the government has ever been.

Social justice is a joke. Tell me what social justice is and who is being deprived of it.

They have a voice. Its the year 2011...start a blog.

The issue is its not a republican party thing if were being honest. Its a political problem. Many will fall for the democrats that pretend to be their advocates. A handful probably are but Id be weary of any policitican saying "Im with ya!".....

We need term limits....its the only way.

Sounds like an aknowledgement that they already have the democratic party to engage with and give them a voice.

' Democracy ' in the US of AIPAC is fundamentally sick. It is actually based upon greed as a ' virtue ', as the pro-democracy demonstrators say. They are ' pro-democracy ' demonstrators because they want democracy restored to America. Democracy should not mean that 99% of the population are slaves of the remainder.

Excellent rationalization. You get that from Frank Luntz?

As you righties are so fond of saying, "this is America, this ain't the rest of the globe."
