    You said this:

You can't stop a woman from spreading her legs in a dirty alley if killing a child is that important to her.

So yeah I'm not expecting a serious answer but I'll ask again... what point in the pregnancy do you think human life begins? If you think it begins the second after conception - what's your biological basis for that? If you don't think it begins the second after conception, then what's your rationale for believing it's "evil" or "irresponsible"?

Feel free, heck no one's stopping you - but good luck finding any harassment in my posts

I'm really not that worried about what you think lady - you're free to use the ignore feature - I'm not interested in women playing catty games and it seems like that's your MO instead of real debate anyway

It is only offensive if it isn't true and judging by your comments so far .. well you get the drift.

LOL, yet again you complain at name calling when you are the one who instigated it.

and of course what ever you think MUST be right .. hypocritical and egotistical as well.

and there are plenty of other people who make the same statements . .but of course you choose to deny and evade that fact.

Actually I didn't, but if the cap fits wear it.

Actually you are wrong about PP - if it did not want a lower number of abortions then why would it distribute free contraceptives and advice?

No it doesn't because everyone here already believes it - what needs to be reinforced is that nearly 50% of women having abortions are already using contraceptives - the issue is a SAFE RELIABLE contraceptive

That 50% represent those who WERE responsible - the rest? Well alcohol, drugs, misinformation about the rhythm method (you would be amazed at how many women think that they cannot get pregnant certain times of the month only to find they have been counting from the wrong time) and do not forget it takes two to Tango. In some cases it is the partner who was drunk and, well it may not have been rape in the classic sense but she did not have a lot of choice

Women do not walk out the front door thinking "Gee today I will be a slut and get pregnant so I can have an abortion"

Really? I am from Queensland Australia - abortion is technically illegal here but our abortion rates rival the USA - why? Well, because of the "health and well-being" clause - all the medical officer has to do is claim it was for the woman's health and or well being. But there is also another "out" - the surgical procedure is ALSO used for "retained products of conception" following miscarriage

So - how are you going to prosecute?

Wow! What a great esteem women are held in if this is the belief - that women who have an abortion have deliberately gone out to get impregnated in the most disgusting manner possible just so they can "kill a child" - Newsflash only an infinitesimal number of women would be that psychopathic and even then there is a better method - use a turkey baster with some donor sperm just so you can abort:roll:
The inability to prosecute is not a strawman - I live with it in my own state

That's the kind of logic you often see from "pro-lifers"-

"Planned Parenthood gives away free condoms....so they can make more money off abortions!!!!!"

    - - - Updated - - -

Those "pro-lifers" who argue against my OP on the grounds of "it's a hypothetical"....should read your post.

When it's REALITY....they still have no answer to the question.

It is not just in Australia that there are problems with abortion prosecution - England had the same issues until they decided to decriminalise it. Legislation does not work, threats do not work (that is very evident from the risks women in countries like Nigeria will take) the ONLY strategies that reduce the abortion rate is exactly what PP is doing - free contraception and advice

You have to look at it from the mindset of a pro-lifer (hard I know) they are of the opinion that giving away free condoms promotes or even encourages people to have more sex .. they are blind to the reality that giving away condoms etc has no effect on whether people have sex or not.

Comprehensive sex education is a different matter, all the reliable studies show that sex ed DOES delay the time when teens engage in sexual intercourse, where as abstinence education doesn't.

I've raised it numerous times...."Tell me EXACTLY HOW you would prosecute abortion perps if it was made illegal....state-by-state or nationally?"....

    the "pro-lifers"? Come up dry.

    - - - Updated - - -

Sure, we've seen it before. We had a now-departed poster last year who constantly claimed that contraception access led to "more sex"....or worse (in their minds) women being able to have sex without the "punishment" of pregnancy.
