Who says AI is a "propaganda tool?" You? What do you know and how do we know you know it?

You should learn what AI is and isn't before making your conspiracy theory comments.

Is AI potentially dangerous? I think so, but that's a discussion for another time.

Yup. One giving up one's ability to reason for a bit of convenience. People giving up the mind that the Christian God gave them in exchange for a golden calf.

I do. So does Navy Corpsman. So do a number of other posters on here.

Yes. I am one such person who says that.

... about propaganda? Quite a bit, actually.

Ahhhh, the good ol' Marxist "we" again... lovely. You can't tell whether or not people know what they are talking about? Is that because you appeal to AI instead of your own mind?

...and for those who think that one wouldn't give up one's own ability to reason for a bit of convenience, numerous people already terminate the lives of their own children for sake of convenience...

This is what Chat GPT says:

    Q: "Is artificial intelligence dangerous?"

A: "Artificial intelligence (AI) can be both beneficial and potentially dangerous, depending on how it is developed, deployed, and used. AI systems have the potential to revolutionize various fields, such as healthcare, transportation, and education, bringing numerous benefits and advancements to society. However, there are also legitimate concerns about the potential dangers associated with AI.

One of the main concerns is the possibility of AI systems exhibiting unintended behaviors or biases that can lead to harmful outcomes. AI systems are typically trained on large datasets, and if these datasets contain biases or inaccuracies, the AI system may perpetuate or amplify those biases. For example, biased decision-making in AI algorithms used for criminal justice or hiring processes can result in unfair treatment or discrimination.

Another concern is the potential for AI to be used maliciously or to automate harmful activities. In the wrong hands, AI could be employed for cyber attacks, creating realistic fake content, or developing autonomous weapons. Ensuring the ethical use of AI technology and implementing safeguards and regulations are crucial to mitigate these risks.

Additionally, there is the concern of AI surpassing human capabilities and becoming uncontrollable or acting against human interests. This scenario, often referred to as artificial general intelligence (AGI), is highly speculative and remains a topic of debate among experts. AGI would entail AI systems that possess human-level intelligence and autonomy, raising questions about control, ethical considerations, and the potential impact on society.

To address these risks, it is important to prioritize the development of robust safety measures, transparent and explainable AI systems, and ethical guidelines. Collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and industry experts is essential to ensure that AI technologies are developed and deployed in a manner that maximizes their benefits while minimizing the potential dangers."

I think AI is far more dangerous than the ChatGPT reply suggests.

It does seem hard to believe but every time you turn around there's a new low achieved.

Just look at the difficulties that some encounter while trying to define what a woman is

What's even more hysterical is the fact that there's a couple of female forum members here who also have difficulties in trying to define what a woman is. <snark>

One even posted some bizarre thread about transgenderism that was trying to justify biological men "claiming" to be women, are in fact actually biological women.....

Oh you poor, sweet, summer child, you think that people actually use logic when determining whether something is credible or not. Credibility is not about logic and evidence, it is about perception. If everything a person says is a lie, then it will be very hard to take any statement from them as credible, even if it was logical.

It already has. We replaced him with Biden and we are on the path to replacing Biden with Trump! We have somewhere around 170,000,000 options to choose from and these two clowns are the two we pick?

Mark my words. In the not too distant future we will elect a President that makes these two geriatric fools look like Einsteins. We aren’t getting smarter or wiser.

Starting off your response with a condescending personal remark tells me you are young and feel the need to compensate. Next the fact you try unilaterally dictate to me credibility is not based on logic and evidence but perception-i.e., your subjective feelings simply illustrates you are of the woke generation who feels what they feel is credible if they say its credible. It simply reflects your self indulgence. You feel therefore it is. Good for you. Take that self indulgent, self centered and narcissistic conceptualization and go find someone else with your feelings to giggle with. Pass on me.

Next how about before you dictate to me truisms you find out what logic is. If something is a lie it can not be logical. Next the very manner in which we prove someone's lack of credibility is that they either misrepresented evidence or provided no evidence or presented false evidence either intentionally or unintentionally.

For someone who demonstrates in their response they can't grasp what a lie, logic and credibility are you need to ditch the snot tone.

Credibility simply means what someone said is believable, i.e., can be proven.

Logic means using a system that allows a process that can be measured to see how it came up with its conclusions, i.e., it can be tested to see how valid or accurate it is.

Scientific methodology, calculus, for example use types of logic.

A lie is a specific attempt to state an untrue statement to deceive people. So the liar intends to deceive and therefore can not be logical as deceiving people is not logical. We have come to make an exception to those liars who are said to mistakenly lie, but in law we call that innocent misrepresentation but it sill has legal consequences and can expose the innocent misrepresentative to liability the person they innocently misrepresented to for damages caused by that innocent misrepresentation.

You might want to try not bluff your way through life using your cell phone and just once use a dictionary.

    Buh bye now.

    The religion of "Evolution"......

Yes, like those who actually believe that dinosaurs are real; and homo sapiens evolved from chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans about five to seven million years ago....:roflol::roflol::roflol:

If I remember correctly, you had dissed the article I had posted because of the link you refer to. What a lot of people don't know is that the heart does have similar cells in it like the brain. Only those who aren't curious or do not know of this knowledge behaves like a bigot.
