I beleive the Tea Party is strongly tied to racism.

So which of the following items are not racist in your leftist opinion?

Welfare Reform
Fox News
Ron Paul
Christianity
GOP
Sarah Palin
Border Fence
TEA Party

You can't have it both ways.

LOL! Well, of course a lib/dem wouldn't take that challenge, for they seem to run from the truth as fast as possible; they know they would lose. But the problem with your challenge is that the definition of a racist comment by a lib/dem would be similar to the ones you previously mentioned. Libs have no true concept of what racism is or who is a racist. For example, because I voted for Romney and oppose any and all of Obama's policies I then must be a racist. You see, you can't reason with a lib.

How are those race glasses you wear working out?

Your opinion really doesn't matter in the scheme of things. You are entitled to immerse yourself in conspiracy theories all day long.

My personal understanding of racism gets detailed and nuanced, and will doubtless try your patience. But I'll get into this a little for you nonetheless, just to see how you respond. I would never ascribe 'racism' to 'items,' in the first place. As for the individuals behind the laundry list, some are racist, some aren't.

Strictly speaking, I would call people racist mainly when they harbor animosity towards individuals of another race, because of beliefs that they are inherently 'lesser' in some way, or inherently badly behaved. Even in such cases, there are degrees of the thing; a person who ignorantly believes in the inferiority of the others because they have been so taught is less culpable than someone who willfully rejects evidence contrary to their beliefs because they enjoy feeling superior, or are addicted to hate.

One item on the list that certainly is highly questionable is the 'Christian Church.' It is absurd to mention the Christinan Church in a context that implies it is all one thing. Some Christian organizations have a long and noble history of fighting racism.

As for the rest, the charge of racism often rests on 'disparate results.' The devil is certainly in the details there. Honest disagreement regarding principles and values is not racist. But when harmful results occur with the knowledge and willful disregard of a policy's authors, that must be viewed harshly. Especially when they proceed in order to pander to the prejudices of their constituents, with cynical disregard for the well-being of groups that do not support them, there is hardly language bad enough for such amoral demagogues.

"Racist" is not dumb. Adjectives can't be dumb. Only people can be dumb.

Jim Crow, alas, isn't dead. It's reduced, and more covert. That much was accomplished by a movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King. How do you feel about the 'civil right era?' Does the phrase 'too much too soon' resonate with you? Would you say 'separate but equal' is not a bad concept, actually?

Your 'challenge' is an interesting idea. Will need to vet your chosen judge, though, perhaps with some test cases. Much would depend on his or her sensitivity to code words and dog whistles. I'll also want to see examples of what range of things are to be accepted as 'Democratic racism.'

BTW, I don't think 'nationally elected' is really what you meant. There are only two nationally-elected positions: President and Vice President.

Take the word 'equal' and try to eliminate it from your vocabulary. No one is equal, nor should they be. GOD didn't create each of us with distinct characteristics/DNA so that leftists in the 20th and 21st centuries could try to experiment with and rearrange HIS gift to us by appeasing their insecurities and perceived inequalities.

"Views of the Tea Party movement are at their lowest point ever, with voters for the first time evenly divided when asked to match the views of the average Tea Party member against those of the average member of Congress. Only eight percent (8%) now say they are members of the Tea Party, down from a high of 24% in April 2010 just after passage of the national health care law.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 30% of Likely U.S. Voters now have a favorable opinion of the Tea Party."

One thing is certain, government uses propaganda because it works. The constant claim of racism by the left is the same thing. Like the Democrat strategy called the Christmas Tree effect, hang enough accusations and the tree eventually falls. The accusations don't have to be true but many of the true believers will fall for it, much like you have.

You think everyone is stupid but you. The Democratic party used to be today's Republican party. Of course you will find more Democrats from the past with racist comments. The Democratic Party back then was affiliated with the KKK. You can take your silliness some place else.

I guess these Democrat leaders used to be "Republicans". Who knew? :roflol:

I'll start with the Democratic President right near the false 1970 cut off that you forwarded.

"I'll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." – Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson

"I am a former Kleagle [recruiter] of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia. It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state in the union." -- Democrat Senator Robert Byrd

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent." -Senator Joe Biden

"You'd find these potentates from down in Africa, you know, rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva." -- Fritz Hollings (D, S.C.)

"Mahatma Gandhi "ran a gas station down in Saint Louis." -Senator Hillary Clinton

"Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them." -- Mary Frances Berry, Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights

"I don't care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day. This city will be a majority African-American city. It's the way God wants it to be." -- Democrat Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin

“Spitting into the food of white customers at a hotel in Greenville, South Carolina] gave me psychological gratification.” — ‘The Rev’ Jesse Jackson

"You f*cking Jew b@stard." -- Hillary Clinton to political operative Paul Fray.

"The Medicaid system must have been developed by a white male slave owner. It pays for you to be pregnant and have a baby, but it won't pay for much family planning." -- Jocelyn Elders

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Robert C. Byrd, a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter] that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation." --Sen. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), 2004

“(I) “will not let the white boys win in this election.” — Donna Brazile, Al Gore’s Campaign Manager

“I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, okay. Do I need to say more?” — Democrat Senator Harry Reid

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African American [Barack Obama] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy." – Vice President Joseph Biden Jr.,

“The country is ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama..a light-skinned African American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” — Democrat Senator Harry Reid

"He's married to a white woman. He wants to be white. He wants a colorless society. He has no ethnic pride. He doesn't want to be black." – Democrat California State Senator Diane Watson's

"A few years age he (Obama) would be getting coffee for us" -- Democrat President Bill Clinton

"I don't talk to you white motherf*ckers! You (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) motherf*ckers in the white press! F*ck you, you motherf*cking a$$hole white devils!!" – Democrat Congressman Gus Savage

"We have lost to the white racist press and to the racist reactionary Jewish misleaders." -- Former Rep. Gus Savage (D-Illinois)

"The white race is the cancer of human history." -- Susan Sontag

“Typical white person”. - Barack Obama.

"There are white n*ggers. I've seen a lot of white n*ggers in my time." -- US Senator Robert Byrd

I have a whole lot more from people like Dick Durbin, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, etc.... Democrats are racist far more than Republicans, they just don't have the national news media pushing the false "GOP is racist" talking point.

You're correct on the nationally elected. I meant elected and sits in D.C.

I chose Goldwater for (3) reasons.

(1) He is a liberal
(2) He is honest
(3) He and I did this exact competition a few years back here before the server change and he knows how badly the Democrats get stomped on this one. It won't even be close.

I wonder if the thread is still searchable? All I need to do is find it and my research is done.

Actually American progressives are the racist.
Progressives and the progressive era was in love with social science. They thought in social science they will discover the solutions to modern society's problems. It was progressives who believed that Northern Europeans were superior to all other races and ethnicities. Theodore Roosevelt, Woodward Wilson and Dillingham and the Dillingham Commission.

>"

In 1907, Congress created the nine-member United States Immigration Commission, better known as the Dillingham Commission for its chair, Senator William P. Dillingham (R-Vt.). The Commission conducted a 41-volume, one-million-dollar investigation into the mass migration, mostly from southern and eastern Europe, that many Americans saw as an impending disaster. Their final report, in 1911, recommended the literacy test for immigrants, enacted in 1917, and pointed the way toward the national-origins quota system begun in 1921.
This paper proposes to consider the Dillingham Commission a century later, particularly in reference to the notions of citizenship and belonging that informed its researchers. The Dillingham Commission was the Progressive Era’s largest and most formalized investigation of the meanings of citizenship and belonging. It compared United States immigration laws with those of other countries, and compared the experiences of people from dozens of nations. The Commission’s reports were at once stringently “scientific” and deeply subjective, shaped by assumptions about race, heritable traits, gender, and immigrant culture. As a result, the Commission’s reports are essential for understanding the historical precedents for “the historical and contemporary politics of immigration and deportation..."< ->http://citation.allacademic.com/meta/p_mla_apa_research_citation/3/1/8/2/8/p318280_index.html

Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao were all progressives.

Today in America progressives / liberals view non white minorities as being inferior and need special protections and free stuff to compete in society.

WOW! Are you a racist too? I ask this question in all honesty. You made the statement that you do not believe the following quotes were disgusting.

“Typical white person”. - Barack Obama.

"There are white n*ggers. I've seen a lot of white n*ggers in my time." -- US Senator Robert Byrd

In my view, ONLY A RACIST would not find these quotes disgusting.

Are you part of the Democrat KKK???? I, like virtually all Republicans, Libertarians, and TEA Party members find those quotes disgusting, racist, and unacceptable. But, apparently to Democrats like you, they are 100% good.
