I find these ancient sites seriously intriguing, too. I was at a small dig in South Africa. They had sifted soil for visitor to search for the tiny bones of small ancient animals. I found nothing, of course, but it wasn't easy to just walk away.

We also visited a stone outcropping near a Zulu village where one could see "cave art" showing the ancient people being overtaken by a successor population who herded cattle - a known transition.

Since there wasn’t any writing during the hunter gather period, cave drawing provides much important information. That’s the closest we’ll get for a written history from that time period. It is said that history is written by the winners. So, who’s to say our written history doesn’t have major flaws in it. Some of it could be downright wrong.

I think it is a military bluff to give our adversaries pause over possibly encountering out of this world defenses.
The nature of the human being is such that something this significant would not allow this to be hidden.
Also possible is a new breakthrough in weaponry, we would prefer our adversaries not to try to copy or steal because it is not possible to copy or steal.
As a Klingon, I say "gheq".

The government has no extra terrestrial UFO debris.

    Objectivity is fine:
The NYT has addressed the issue:

Space_Time, I saw this message at the bottom of the NYTimes article:
So, it seems that David Grusch didn't inform our Congressional representatives of the UFO collection program.

And, that means there is still hope that Congressional hearings on the subject won't be a lie and further the cover-up.

Its been going on for years now. I've seen a UFO back in the 90s that I know beyond any doubt was a UFO, so it is old news to me, but it is nice for the truth to finally be coming out to the masses.

There have been thousands of UFO's. The issue is that none of them are of extra terrestrial origin and some people don't understand that. The U stands for unidentified not unworldly.

I have seen several of them before, but not recently.

They watch certain areas, and when they spot someone interesting hanging around there, they send a ship to pick them up.

There are more than one kind of aliens, like there are different species of animals on Earth. I've encountered more than one group of aliens.

I don't know if they send a ship from their home planet, which would take time, or if they have a base much closer, here, which would take less time.

The one I saw was a perfect equilateral black triangle, similar to the one in the footage from the destroyer. It seemed to be quite large. It was hovering perfectly still for about a minute, then accelerated to the point where it was gone out of sight in a split second, accelerating far faster than any human aircraft could do. This was back in the early 90s. Any human would have been crushed to death by the Gs alone.

I asked what the extra terrestrials you saw looked like, not the UFO itself. UFO's aren't extraterrestrial.

Most of the ones I saw were covered from head to toe in a suit. But I was able to have the opportunity to see what some of them looked like anyway.

Some had black fur with white stripes that looked sort of like skunks but were much bigger.

Then there were the ones that had large eyes and large, butt-shaped heads and were white.

There was a tall, thin creature, sort of like a giant praying mantis.

There were the brown-skinned ones that had tall, trapezoidal-shaped eyes coming out of their heads.

    And there are more...

You can't claim they are extraterrestrial if you can't identify them as such.

As long as they are unidentified, they are unidentified.

You can't claim them as terrestrial, unless you can identify them as such. Seeing as how nobody on Earth has a copy of the Jane's Guide to UFO Identification, you are ruling out the possibility of what is extremely likely based on evidence that is 100% impossible to have. So even if something was 99% likely to be true, by your standard you would rule out the possibility because "they are unidentified".The fact that they are unidentified not only to us, but our own military, including very competent pilots, makes your claims silly and naive. I totally agree many sightings are bogus, but many are not.

Stamping your foot and say "Nope, it is unidentified, therefore we know absolutely nothing" is just stupid. That works in a science classroom, not when we are dealing with that which our own science is completely unable to comprehend. That is like being in a pitch black room and claiming an object could not possibly be blue, because you do not have enough light to see that it is blue.

    Exactly. They are unidentified.

We've seen massive numbers of claims proven to be various types of misperception. We've even seen fraudulent claims!!

But, let's not worry about that too much, as the massive number of past blunders isn't a great argument about future events.

These events are fully within the range of science. The problem is that there is a serious lack of evidence. And, when there are fabulous claims (like aliens, events defying fundamental physics, etc.) there needs to be serious evidence.

Let's remember that we didn't accept Einstein's relativity theory until years later when serious evidence was finally developed.

This isn't just a prejudice against the supernatural. If you want to claim the supernatural you can do so, but you really do need to bring serious evidence.

I do come from a point of view that these claims of UFOs being aliens are super highly unlikely. Nobody can say 0% or 100%.

One has to accept that aliens exist (though undetected by all our devices that look for life). Then, they smashed our most basic physics. Then, they came all the way here (why). Then they didn't bother to communicate with us - why come here and NOT communicate with us? Then, they tried to hide, but FAILED!

There are so many more ways to have UFO sightings. Our detection devices, including our eyes, have significant failure modes, as the "navy tapes" clearly establish. There are military projects all over the world testing out hypersonic flight, methods of confounding sensors, etc.

I hereby request that any alien reading this grant me an interview.
