That's wicked cool, Josh! I've seen two... At least that I noticed. One was flying over NYC in the middle of the day, and looked damaged in some way. It was going slowly, and wobbling back and forth until I decided to grab a nearby camera, and by the time I was ready to shoot, it was gone. The other actually wasn't much different from a time perspective, as both events happened within months, and for the second it was something I saw through the passenger-side window of... something.... within no more than a mile from our airplane. It looked a LOT like a weather balloon (though not completely), still so much so that if MIBs had greeted be at the jet to tell me that's what it was, I might have believed them, but as an FAA certified pilot, I know the chances of someone being allowed to launch a weather balloon NOT in restricted airspace would have had to had a special TFR (Temp. Flight. Restriction.) over an area maybe 20 miles wide to keep those separated from us silly people flying around the earth like we had wings or something!

So, having an A320 and an actual weather balloon within a mile of each other where at least was under direct control of ATC is... ZERO.

Yes, it is a world wide issue, not a USA DoD issue.

Before what you suggest, one step congress could take would be to use subpoena power or some other tool to request (demand?) the body.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe they have taken the step of requesting the body, have they?

Also, I don't see UFOlogists raising political pressure in this direction. I do see them continuing to be concerned about unexplained observations. I don't understand that, as an alien body would be definitive and another hundred unexplained visual affects is not.

I would think the entire world of those interested in the possibility of aliens buzzing Earth would be focused on obtaining a serious and public examination of that body.

I think most are just convinced the government is just going to deny everything, and that many politicians are being paid off to keep anything substantial from being revealed.

I think many might be going for baby steps. We finally have the government admitting the phenomenon is real and concerning. Maybe UFOlogists just want to keep chipping away slowly, and not demand so much the the DoD just goes into full lockdown mode, lol.

I could imagine people believing they won't get a peak at the body. The military has various arguments they could make. I see no evidence that anyone is getting paid off, though.

The military has been pretty much in lockdown mode until quire recently. They've spent years resisting all comment and cooperation. They may be moving in the toward being more open.

There are UFOlogists making a living the way things are - books, speaking engagements, etc. Maybe some of them like the way it is. But, that can't be satisfying to everyone. So, I'm still curious about the lack of pressure on the military.

You and me both. Well, I think the genie is out of the bottle, and public pressure and opinion is not going to go away back to what it used to be. I think sooner or later they are going to have to be more forthcoming. But yeah, the military does not change overnight, especially when it comes to perceived national security.

    More on Grusch the "whistleblower".....
He claims to have viewed documents reporting that Benito Mussolini's government recovered a "non-human" spacecraft in 1933, which the Vatican and the Five Eyes assisted the U.S. in procuring in 1944 or 1945. Grusch claims second hand knowledge that American citizens have been harmed and killed as part of the government's efforts to cover up the information.

Ummmm . . . . . yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…. But Dan, eyewitness testimony is relied upon daily to send people to prison, to hand out parking tickets, to win all manner of court cases that change the lives of people. So what evidence to you base your skepticism on? What makes your minority viewpoint more reliable than mine or anyone else’s here?
