"If voting made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it." Mark Twain

President Trump clearly ran on a campaign promising to pursue detente' with Russia, while Hilary Clinton ran on a campaign promising war against Russia. The only thing "the intelligence community, super rich, oil industry and military industry wants less than detente' with Russia - given the never-ending Cold War is good for trillions of dollars, vast institutional power and tens of thousands of government jobs - is actual war with Russia, which is suicidal insanity. Russia still has thousands of nuclear weapons.

So despite having more votes, somehow, miraculously, by tiny, tiny, tiny margins in a couple of key states, Clinton somehow lost and Trump became president.

So detente' with Russia won, no? NO! Even before swearing it, the most radical non-stop campaign of hate against Russia was flooded onto the media more extreme than the McCarthy Red Scare of the 1950s. Every possible means to block even attempting detente' with Russia - merely speaking to a Russia - was declared outright treason and traitorous. Anything but President Trump cursing Russia and opposing any actions against Russia considered the President being essentially a Russian agent.

THE MOST SIGNIFICANT statement by ANY politician in this decade in my opinion was made by the #1 ranking Democrat in the USA, Senator Chuck Schumer, while he was still somewhat trying to work with President Trump. He warned that NO POLITICIAN, even a president, dare defy the "intelligence community" because they have "6 ways from Sunday" to destroy anyone. That was a stunning statement and essentially a confession that all politicians in DC, even presidents, are just lackies of "the intelligence community." Yet the implications were not even discussed.

Which intelligence community? The one that lied to get us into Vietnam. The one that lied that got us into WW1. The intelligence community that lied to get us into the Iraq war. The intelligence community that lied to get us into the Spanish-American war. The intelligence community that has lied to get us into numerous other mini-wars, invasions and government overthrows.

Kennedy totally exposed to assassination, then the next Kennedy, while "I promise not to send our boys to die in the jungles of S.E. Asia" LBJ became president. "Hey, hey, LBJ, how many boys did you kill today?" Instead of Kennedy 2, it was "bomb the hell out of them" Nixon, extremely popular president. That is, until he was was impeached after he ended the Vietnam war and established detente' with China. The intelligence and military community/contractors did not want Vietnam to end nor detente' with communist China.

Do you think our votes matter in the slightest? At least when it comes to foreign and military policy? Or is that truly 100% run by "the intelligence community" regardless of who we elect?

MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL - pick all you think apply
