Your claim was that it is better than any society with more restrictive freedoms. So no matter what else your society does, in your view, as long as you have more freedom to slaughter children you are better.
Absolutely. We can do nothing about miscarriages therefore it shouldn't even enter the discussion. This thread is not about God and not once do I bring that up in the OP. I was talking about the regret women have when they abort their child. Now stay on topic.
Most first world countries have less restrictive abortion laws. Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, the US, France ... bass-awards countries like Mexico, Sudan, Afghanistan, have very restrictive abortion laws. Anti- abortion dogma is more a reflection of incompetence and poor medical conditions than anything else.
What if the babies brain is growing outside of it's skull, what if it only has a brain stem and once born will only suffer pain until the babies dies? Is a woman who has two children, but aborts because she is overwhelmed by the possibility of a third, and doesn't feel she can physically handle carrying to term, a bad mother in your eyes? Is she evil? Is a woman who is manic/depressive, who has to go off her meds to carry to term and she knows doing so will endanger her life and the fetus' life, an evil person for getting an abortion?
