How come the west are the only countries fanatical about having immigrants come to there countries when you had Syrian refugees ,Saudi Arabia would not have them but Obama was pushing for us to have them why keep wanting people to come when your own citizens are in bad shape. I think that is the reason Britain left the European union

One of the unique things about the United States is we're made up from people who migrated from 'other' countries. Your ancestor and mine both came from another country looking for a better life. Up until now the Statue of Liberty actually stood for something.

If people keep fleeing from violence and Third World conditions, eventually there might not be any place left to be able to flee to.

We have to help the people where they are. Or if there's a war, temporarily relocate them to a nearby country which is more similar to theirs. We could pay this other country to do it, and it would probably end up being a lot cheaper over the long run.

 

Like Rome, immigrants are fine as long as they come in at a pace that can be absorbed and they assimilate. If they don't assimilate, you're going to have problems down the road. Even in the US after periods of massive immigration the doors were mostly closed for a period of time to give time for them to assimilate.

 

It's rather simple, the western left love to import faithfull leftist voters who will always vote for them, when the western right like having desesperate people who will lover the cost of work, both workaat the destruction of the west and europe.

What's hurting our country in a very big way is the actions of our elected leaders. Their assault on the US Constitution has been going on for many years, and that is part of the reason for the sad state of affairs in this country. Don't blame immigrants, blame the arrogant and corrupt career politicians and their special interests.

OK I admit, I've no idea what you are talking about. My point was that you ascribing uniquely to the United States a special "immigration" country when in fact that's true of the entire western hemisphere. I'm unclear what my DNA has to do with that.

Throughout our history, we generally had controlled, legal immigration. That worked well many years ago.

Now we have libs using the text on the Statue of Liberty to advocate for uncontrolled, unlimited, and illegal immigration. It's the left that has changed on this issue, not the right.

 

I have nothing against sending illegals packing. I do have something against not letting people claim asylum and sending them packing.

The poor people aren't the problem, its the welfare. Immigrants came all through history, but they did it good on their own.

The welfare system needs radical overhaul. I like a UBI but only as a replacement, not an addition.
