In Afghan Kandahar today, the Victory Parade over the United States was held.
The Taliban formed a large mechanized column out of captured vehicles, which rode pompously through the streets of Kandahar.

Most of this equipment still belonged to the Afghan army 1-2 months ago. Helicopters captured by the Taliban, piloted by former Afghan Air Force pilots who had entered the service of the Taliban, also took part in the parade.
The parade was hosted by the Governor of Kandahar Mohammad Yusuf Wafa Sahib, who thanked Allah for his help with the great victory over the United States.
At the rally after the parade, the new governor of Kandahar congratulated all Afghans on the victory over the United States and the end of the 20-year war.

Of course, you and I understand that this bellicose bombast is complete nonsense. The Taliban did not defeat anyone.
Comparing the Taliban and the US Army is like comparing a bug and an elephant.
    But!!!
The withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan is a striking indicator of the economic and political problems within the United States.
The US economy is on the verge of collapse, and therefore there is no money for the maintenance of the American military contingent in Afghanistan. This is the real problem.
And therefore, US citizens need to prepare for the Great Depression 2.0. Which will be much sharper. And it will obviously have much more serious problems for the United States. However, as and for the rest of the world.

But the US pullout was a success. Did Biden and his cronies actually ever say WHO it was a success for?

But but, we were told they would not have the ability to fly them. Then we were told they were rendered inoperable. Joe Biden, make the Taliban Great Again!

This is why we should never have trusted those losers. The Afghans we trained and equipped for 20 yrs always believed in the same sharia nonsense as the Taliban, so it should have been no surprise that they'd join the Taliban as soon as the US money tit dried up.

Trump's deal with the Taliban was CONDITIONAL: "We'll do THIS when you do THAT". The first condition was that the Taliban work out a ceasefire with the Afghani Army. They never did that. The deal was OFF. This is all on Runaway Biden.

The fact that Afghan pilots are already flying choppers for the Taliban is proof that they worked it out. Heck, the Afghans couldn't wait to join the Taliban, so the ceasefire deal worked like a charm.

Let's face it, when the Afghans heard we struck a deal with the Taliban, they also approached the Taliban and struck deals of their own, which were mainly agreements to join forces.

If you delve into it you'll likely find out that our government had completely (key word completely) equipped the Afghan military. The Afghan's gladly surrendered and gave all of their equipment to the Taliban. All of that equipment was in operating condition. The fact that the U.S. military might have trashed anything they left behind doesn't mean the Taliban didn't get a s*** load of good stuff from the Afghan military.

That the same crowd that says POC’s aren’t sentient enough to need a voter ID.
“How could 13th century Muslims possibly learn to fly a helicopter?”
How many here have looked at a map to see where Afghanistan is?
Or Google Earth’d Bagram air base.

nah....it isn't anything to do with economics or money or crap like that....its chess to checkers.....the West cannot stomach a fight that does not last longer than a couple of news cycles....and as much as we like to think of armies and soldiers as a nobility of brotherhood they're just idiots to be pissed into the wind....shyte on the leather sole of the politicians Oxford Brogues....just crap to whipped off and forgotten
As soon as the bodies start coming in....well.... then starts the navel gazing and second guessing and loss purpose...and the fukcing politicians, well....they can't stomach a good old fashioned bullet ridden fragmented soldiers body as it doesn't run well in the lobby groups and polls....
The West cannot stomach a fight.....the ******* (edit - doesn't seem to like the use of the term wraghead) Taliban kicked the fuking crap out of the US and UK and all the other countries that pissed away their soldiers for absolutely fuking nothing....nothing

I thought it was because the Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India oil pipeline is almost complete.

Troops have done their job now oil can flow without having to go through Russia or Iran.

Oh, I don't know what you mean. The US government has failed since the word "go". The "Pull out" as you say is also a failure because of the chaos. The only success is accomplished by all the people of the world who wanted the US out of Afghanistan. It is their success. Soooo .......
..... it is irrelevant what "Biden and his cronies" say about it. The world is a safer place when the Americans stay put in their own country. The US pulling out is a definite success for the world.

Since "Biden is not my pwesident" , you have abdicated any right to any meaningful comment on his ability to change anything.

You made your own bed by creating wars and destroying Democracies. On 9/11 you were forced to sleep on it.

The bottom line is that Trump is the better man by far. No one can argue against that fact. However, the US had absolutely no business in Afghanistan in the first place and there is no way Washington can whitewash the treachery they've created there. So ..... getting out as quickly as possible is better than not getting out at all because the consequences will be exactly the same for Afghanistan. Trump's plan was better (and he's a much better man) but it would have made no difference in the end because Afghanistan belongs to the Afghani people. The French failed in Vietnam and the Americans failed at the same crap. Then the USSR failed in Afghanistan and the Americans have failed at the same crap again. I think the best way to sum up the problem(s) is .....
