    Right.

I wonder how not believing in the supernatural automatically makes someone anti-American?

Atheist is not anti God. Many times this is confused because there is an atheist Anti-God movement (religion) that is trying to take God out of everything. They think mockery and church burning is good. They are un American.

    Yup.

Anyone can be brutal and intolerant regardless of their beliefs.

    Your point?

Um.... nope. It is not a religion.

Um.... nope. They wish to remove religion from government. That is hardly "everything".

So mockery and church burning are to mentioned in the same sentence as if they are the same type of offense? Interesting. Which atheist groups believe that church burning should be condoned?

First I guess you did not look at my first post.

You can have religion without God.

I see Atheism as a Cult:

You have organization and gatherings such as noted in my link that are in part attack religion ant the sole purpose is to attack religion. As of late atheism has done nothing but attack religion.

We can get into this but in the last 100 years people of your religion (usually the cults) have killed millions upon millions in and organized way.

So there is no way to change what is. You can petition Websters to change all of their definitions though and you people can stop acting like a religion with cults and just be good people ignoring the JW that come to your door.

We can argue this if you want though.

Religion is the belief in the supernatural, atheism has no such tenants and does not qualify as a religion. It is no more a religion than not collecting stamps is a hobby.

Of course, because we do not believe that people should use the government to enforce their own religious beliefs. So if that makes the motives an "attack", then I guess it is an attack on state enforced religion.

    Fallacy, correlation =/= causation.

Riiigghhhttt, and what groups are burning churches?

Did I sat Atheists burned them?

Atheism is, by definition, a religion.

There is no correlation =/= causation. The fact is Atheists are responsible for the most brutal crimes in human history. Wait yes there is the spread of their beliefs and the indoctrination of societies.

"They think mockery and church burning is good. They are un American."

    Cite the group.

I suppose not collecting stamps is a hobby too?

Again, fallacy. You are suggesting that correlation = causation which is not the case. Stalin (atheist) killed innocents for the same reason as Hitler (Christan), they failed to adhere to the state. There is no secret atheist doctrine (any mention of such is simply imagined nonsense) that says that X people must die. Statists however, do have such a doctrine and such a motive for genocide.

Hitler was the pope of the state socialist religion.

You know you just want to deny everything and I am not posting the link twice. I am not going to yell over you. This is a fail on your part.

Well just a little for S&G:

He was the dictator. Statists require the essential worship of the state, I would suggest watching the outcry over Jong Ill's death or Inside North Korea for some good examples.

It has nothing to do with atheism.

That is because you cannot cite any groups.

Aiden are not spokes people for any sort of atheist movement. Do you have something other than a mediocre and uninteresting metal group as an example? Maybe Dawkins Reason Foundation? Some secular political groups? Anything?

If I cite some mediocre and uninteresting Christian band that associates with the KKK, does that say something about Christianity as a whole?

Well I am glad you realized that.

So to clearly answer the OP read your own post. People like you are the problem. Christians and Atheists and Muslims and Jews with your attitude are the issue. You have the same mindset of the KKK, the Nazis, Pao Pot and the rest of the idiots throughout history. Your kind are the trouble makers.

Unless you did not start this thread.

Logic actually. You make a thread that shows the OP pic and name it indoctrination.

There are evil people in all walks of life. Your intent was to Blame and persecute but the fact is you the persecutor, you who is acting like a victim, you the accuser and complainer have a problem (you and those like you).

    This thread = fail.

No, I do not wish for people to abandon all critical thinking and accept a "fact" on blind faith.

So no, it is not the same.

There is no coincidence. I have seen things that were illogical and should not have been but never the less they were.

I have faith in the guiding hand of he that is. I accept that there are things beyond human comprehension. There is no doubt and no guess work. I do not try and force others to believe but I do offer them reason.

Generally those who choose not to believe are separate because they choose a life that is counter to the scriptures. Well Lemme axk u a queshun:
If everyone followed the Christian scriptures would the world be as it is today? Well the answer is no. There would be no war, no STDs, lower heart disease and cancer rates.......

If people live by the atheist views nothing would change and everything would be as it is.

So my faith is not blind but it is you who refuse to open your eyes.

Meh, I am prude. The way I live my life is no differently than your Christian neighbor would.

My idea of drinking is a glass of wine over a nice meal, I do my best to help my housebound neighbor without payment in return, my idea of the ideal woman is anything but someone who drops their pants on the first .... second ... or fifth date.

So no, Christianity is anything but the only means to live a good ethical life. You can do so without abandoning all logic and reason.

It is not the atheists who threaten an eternity of pain and suffering for the rejection of an idea. What is worse than such a threat? A cartoon? Some mediocre metal band? Lol

If you choose not to believe that is your business. I will support you just the same. You are my brother man regardless of faith. Most of us are not bible thumping just as most atheists are not nut jobs either. We see the extremes because it makes headlines. The fact is most of us are pretty much generic Americans on the outside and other than what we do on Sunday morning there is not much difference on the inside.

Since you acknowledge that atheists can be as brutal and intolerant as anyone why have you started dozens of threads attacking religious people? Don’t you see the absurdity?! If Christians are no worse it makes no sense to attack Christians as Christians.

Since you exclusively attack religious people, even though they are no worse than atheists, you are a bigot. You feel animosity for certain ethnic groups so you attack them while ignoring the crimes of your own group.

Don’t you see how pointless your thousands of posts have been? I’m afraid it’s clear now you’ve wasted years of your life promoting hatred and injustice.

There is not an atheist doctrine calling for the deaths of unbelievers or homosexuals.

    Many religious doctrines encourage such.

So no, my point still stands. Ties in with leaving your brain at the church's doors.

Please apologize for remaining so ill-informed. Many of the leading atheist thinkers have preached and practiced extreme intolerance & violence against religious folk. Atheist leaders from Nietzsche to Lenin to Mao to Ayn Rand to Peter Singer to Sam Harris have persecuted "inferiors" and religious people.

Jesus told us to forgive our enemies:

43You have heard it said, You shall love your neighbour, and hate your enemy.

    44But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Wolverine, looks like your mind is locked and bolted and fearful of the facts. Here are some quotes from Marx, Lenin, and others. Communism, a central element of the global atheist movement, called for and practiced intolerance and brutality against religious folks.

“The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion” (Karl Marx)

“The World has never before known a godlessness as organized, militarized and tenaciously malevolent as that preached by Marxism. Within the philosophical system of Marx and Lenin and at the heart of their psychology, HATRED OF GOD is the principle driving force, more fundamental than all their political and economic pretensions. Militant atheism is not merely incidental or marginal to Communist policy; it is not a side effect, but the central pivot. To achieve its diabolical ends, Communism needs to control a population devoid of religious and national feeling, and this entails a destruction of faith and nationhood. Communists proclaim both of these objectives openly, and just as openly put them into practice.” (Alexander Solzhenitsyn, former communist, Nobel prize winner)

“Atheism is the natural and inseparable part of Communism.” (attributed to Vladimir I. Lenin)

“Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism.” (V.I. Lenin)

The official journal of the Soviet Academy of Pedagogical Sciences published a government directive Atheistic Education in the School as a resource on how to separate God from human society. The opening paragraph is revealing: “The Soviet school, as an instrument for the Communist education of the rising generation, can, as a matter of principle, take up no other attitude towards religion than one of irreconcilable opposition; for Communist education has as its philosophical basis Marxism, and Marxism is irreconcilably hostile to religion.

‘Marxism is materialism,’ says V. I. Lenin; ‘as such, it is as relentlessly hostile to religion as the materialism of the Encyclopedaists of the eighteenth century or the materialism of Feuerbach.’
