Then don't own a gun if you don't want go out and take a firearm safety course.Simple solution.

I can give you firearms training that if followed is 100% effective and it is only four simple rules.

Such is a physical impossibility. As such there is no point in discussing the notion as if it had any actual merit to it, as it does not. So there is no point in continuing to mention it as if it were viable.

Why should training be made mandatory under any circumstances?

You're reiterating what I said in bold. We need only 7 or 8 thousand more repetitions, and maybe it will begin to sink in.
There is an update to my claim of no shootings at my preferred place. I was talking to a BLM Ranger today, and he told me that about 8 months ago, a pair of silly boys decided to try out their new ceramic plate body armor. One guy put the armor on, and the other shot him with his AK-47 from about 20 feet away. The armor failed, but the kid lived.

that''s because Democrat policies since LBJ encouraged most of that behavior. besides poor people are beholden to the Democrats and are almost coerced into voting for the Democrat party

Libertarian but I tend to vote GOP in national elections. I voted for Clark in 80 and Andre Marrou in 92. I voted for Richard Cordray for Ohio AG-a democrat because I had worked with him and he was way way more competent than Mike DeWhine who sadly won. and Cordray was pro gun while DeWhine is a Banoid

I voted for Ted Strickland ahead of Kasich in 2010 for the same reason

But I then supported Kasich in 2014-the Democrat challenger was a complete idiot

But you only have to pass the written in order to drive and have a lisenced driver over 21 riding shotgun. It's equivalent of passing the written for CC and being armed only with another armed CCW holder. It's worst than what you want.

The key word is "mandatory". The NRA proudly promotes training in fact it has several classes on it. If its all about the money don't you think they would advocate mandatory training so that way people will go to them for training? The REAL reason why such organizations are against such a law is the same reason there against you being mandated to get speach and debate classes before typing on forums such as this one.

    Of course it is.
For what other right can the state require a competency test before said right may be exercised?
    None.
Wat would liberals do if such a test were laid upon, say, the right to vote or the free press?
Yell and scream like stuck pigs.

More mindless nonsense from the anti-gun loons.

Voluntary training is the key. Like most self reliant people we realize this is the next contest. Leftists hate self reliance. We can cut them off at the knees if we push for VOLUNTARY training.

Simple question: do you believe an individual not associated with any type of military or law enforcement has the right to keep and bear arms?
