Why is there so much hatred in your heart?

I've got to admit that seeing this high degree of homophobia in a female is new to me. In all of my years of being a part of the gay and straight communities, I haven't ever encountered what one could perceive to be a homophobic female.

I've learned, as has been frequently studied, that females feel "safe" around gay males and homosexuality often accepted. Even their brains have been shown to have similarities.

Then, in trying to figure out what makes a homophobic woman tick, I found this:
Which, I guess based on my limited interactions with you here, pretty much says it all. Here's some synonyms for "authoritarian":

bossy, authoritative, autocratic (also autocratical), despotic, dictatorial, domineering, imperious, masterful, overbearing, peremptory, tyrannical (also tyrannic), tyrannous

    'nuff said, huh?

Is this a serious post? Shall I consider myself taken down a notch???

    LOL, y'all are so funny.

Liberals claim to love gays when it allows them to vent their spleen at Republicans. But disagree with liberals and their first response is to call you gay. Liberals are gays' biggest champions on issues most gays couldn't care less about, like gay marriage or taxpayer funding of photos of men with bullwhips up their derrieres. But who has done more to out, embarrass, and destroy the lives of gay men who prefer to keep their orientation private than Democrats? Who is more intolerant of gays in the Republican Party than gays in the Democratic Party? -- Ann Coulter

So true... you tell 'em, Ann.

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

It's worth noting that each of those threads you list are about specific issues, with homosexuality simply being the common theme. How many threads are there about the economy, or how bad of a president Obama is? I see you posting quite a bit in the latter type of threads....

If you don't like reading threads regarding homosexuality, don't click on them. There's no need to combine them all so that you don't have to be troubled with seeing as many of them. I could understand if there were multiple threads on the same specific issue, but they aren't. Some of those threads were even made by people who oppose homosexuality.

A humor thread, one pointing out the blatant stupidity of conservatives, and another asking for a scriptural basis for homosexuals in church leadership.

    Those are your best examples?

    Amusing.

I expect the continual obscure articles in racist threads which bigots comb the internet to find and post, in a sad attempt to create racial hatred and destroy world peace, are really only about specific issues with racist piggery simply being the common theme and we are all mistaken in heaving when we read them.

I tend to agree with Leffe. Many hate threads I'm reading recently are strongly weighted in favour of the voice of reason and tolerance. I think the good fight is finally being won here and the haters are on the run.

What is the answer? Lots of complains, but what about a solution that will suit everyone, equally?
No, I am not trying to stir the pot, but how can everyone be pleased? Is that really possible?
If everything goes in its allocated niche, complaints come about that threads aren't visible enough. If threads are left to be, the complains are about too many threads in one section.
Perhaps one main forum for each region is the answer?
But then the individual members still have the task to click on a particular thread, see if its worth their while, and if not, move on, or if its something he/she is interested in, enter the debate.
So all in all, it really doesn't matter in which sub forum we find a particular thread, assuming that members will do their best to ponder before creating a thread, its up to the individual member to look around and select appropriately.
As for merging, its easier to merge a thread with only a few posts, even if these few posts are out of order, than threads which are several pages into a discussion.
Not all is decided upon title alone.
All we can do is try our best, and that isn't as easy as it looks, and never ever pleases everyone, sorry.

These dup threads were reported early on, but ignored until they'd grown into sizable discussions. They've now been merged and I thank Subby for tending to that.

As far as I'm concerned, this topic has served it's purpose and should be locked. Or we can keep up the 'you hate gays' 'no I don't' discussion... mods' choice. ;)
