According to him every country has the right to choose its foreign policy alliances and he demands security guarantees for Russia but denies these very things where other countries are concerned even warning Sweden and Finland not to join NATO. So, in his logic what applies to him doesn't apply to other countries.
He deploys 140,000 troops with heavy equipment to the Ukrainian border and another 30,000 including modern jet fighters to Belarus and claims Russia is being threatened. He tells chancellor Scholz that he will withdraw troops from the Ukrainian border and, one day later, does the exact opposite. The guy is a mendacious bastard.

This is true and to be clear, the EU has been discussing a joint army (made up of national forces) for years.
The UK always rejected the idea , saying it was a step too far towards making the EU a country. (and that the UK is of course far away and protected from any eastern attack).
When the UK left the EU, the EU has again started to discuss it...unfortunately too late for this issue.

 

Britain may be wise to an extent to keep their own sovereignty. It's fine to unite as a force with those of common interest as in NATO, but ONE WORLD ORDER which others want to eventually take us to, denies individuals more and more from the liberty to live their own lives.

The whole point of NATO is to have a military alliance and "joint" operations with interchangeable commanding officers for specific missions.
