This just doesn't work.

First, the genocide wrecked on Gaza is not justified by an act of terrorism.

As the ICJ stated, it is Israel that has responsibility for for those it has bottled up inside Gaza and has denied food, water, medical supplies, energy, sanitation and other needs.

Nobody but Israel can provide the access and security for aid delivery.

ICJ has required that Israel report back within a month of their ruling to demonstrate the improvement they have made in safety and aid for civilians.

 

You've chosen the Palestinian side. Ok.

 

As for targeting, Israel is dropping bombs on the dense population in Rafah - the place that Israel told them to got to be safe, one of the places where there are huge numbers of starving refugees.

It's not just the BBC that is pointing out that aid delivery is costing lives, and that is Israel's responsibility, obviously.

I'm really tired of the "prove this story, now prove that story" style of argument. Israel is committing genocide. The people of Gaza are starving.

Regarding Palestinians, the term was used for all citizens of Mandatory Palestine, including Jews. The definition of "Palestinian" changed greatly in the last decades, or rather was changed in such a way as to completely exclude Jews.

Arabs can't even pronounce the word Palestinian. The Arab alphabet lacks the letter P.

Do not assume I don't know what 'Palestinian' means because I don't define the term upon request. Assume instead I don't want to define the term. Its not my profession of choice as I said earlier, and I don't especially want to dig into symantic games. Most words that I use each day, I have never actually defined. Most I have never researched via a series of dictionary definitions either. Yet I communicate, and can understand communication via common usage. Granted that will not work if diplomats try to write up a definition for the purposes of negociating a two state solution or prior conditional agreements. . They can handle it because it has been done many times before, and it will be done again

You used the word 'indigenous'. I have not. Now that is even harder to define than using geography or nationality but that is equally true of any labels of indigenous populations including one you used in the above post.

I am not interested comparing Arab society with Western. I am interested in an Arab or muslim dominated independent state or country because that is what we would be creating in a two state solution. And fundamentally those are like Western states . Egypt and Brazil have borders. Saudia Arabia and Kenya have governments. Oman and South Korea have laws .Kuwait and Australia have a military, and Syria and Luxembourg both have a diplomatic corps. They may or may not have their own currency. They may or may not have an formalized official language or religion but the foundations of an independent state remain the same across the globe.

The pro Hamas/anti Israel etc side keeps claiming that the Israelis want to commit genocide but never explain why they are doing such a piss poor job of accomplishing that and actually engaging in actions that are contrary to actually achieving genocide. LIKE NOT USING their most potent aerial bombardments. Or warning non combatants to leave. seems to me if the IDF wanted to wipe out Gaza it would be rather easy to do given they have complete air superiority

1. Pan-Arab nationalism following the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Arab leaders dreamed of a big happy Arab Muslim state in all of MENA. An independent Jewish state was a thorn in the backside of that dream.

2. Soviet-fueled anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda in the Arab world and at the UN, to boost Soviet Russia's standing and influence in the Middle East and North Africa

3. The oil embargoes of the 70s, whose effects on some European countries were so severe that those countries are still funding anti-Zionist NGOs today

4. International terrorism, initially the brainchild of our old acquaintance the Soviet Union. We know today that France and Switzerland made deals with terrorists, and the US even took a terrorist to Disneyland.
