The ICJ doesn't have the final word on such matters.

The ICJ has given Israel direction to ensure that they are taking care of the lives of Palestinians.

Israel is directed to report in one month with a report on its progress.

In terms of international law, this is progress. ICJ doesn't have the right to carry out action against any state. What they do is determine issues of legality.

This one was trivially easy of course. Consider this is from Israel's minister of energy and infrastructure:

"They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world." <pause> "until they leave the world".

This absolutely is a statement of genocide.

..................................... So the sheer numbers mean nothing to YOU ?!?

I cannot help but find arrogant DENIAL in the face of plain
    undeniable FACT, totally Contemptable.

GENOCIDE DEFINED ( I am not a fan of Wikipedia but in this case it is sufficient )
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide
    From the Article:
Genocide is the Intentional destruction of a people in whole or in part. In 1948,
the United Nations Genocide Convention defined Genocide as any of Five
    "Acts
committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical,
racial or religious group". International Law recognizes a broad range of
forms of violence in which the crime of Genocide can be enacted.

The Three Acts presently being committed by the Zionist Entity that are applicable
    1. Killing members of the group Article II(a) {& Sheer Numbers of Deaths do Matter !}
    2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group.. Article II(b)

    3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about
........................................................................... its physical destruction Article II(c)

Now review the clear unmitigated statements of Israeli Officials and tell yourself
that these ACTS, as they are presently being committed, before the eyes of the
    ..................................................................................... World are NOT Intentional

Excellent post. And it makes me wonder. Maybe all of those so strongly supporting the genocidal actions against Palestine secretly hate Jews, and are cheering the present course of action knowing it will destroy Israel? That's the only reason I can think of that makes any sense for them to support such butchery. Or they are just blind to what this will inevitably lead to.

"Those who can make you believe Absurdities can make you commit Atrocities - Voltaire
Well we clearly see the Absurdity that YOU believe ! - Being as YOU
obviously do not believe in the given definitions of Atrocity & Genocide -
And YOU here attempt to rationalize & justify the outrageous murder of innocents

    W
e have all seen the arial views of starving Gazan's who, while desperately
    trying acquire scraps of food
, are forced - to flee like ants - being stepped on
by a petulant and psychotic child
, under the horrendous and deadly attacks
... ...................................... of the IDF. "" The Worlds most imMoral Army ""

And what is Israel's response to this unmitigated in YOUR face Atrocity ?
The answer comes from this vicious Psychotic, Spiritually Void piece of
Human Waste - Itmar Ben-Givir - Israel's National Security Minister

    ....................... [IMG]

National Security Minister Hails the Israel Soldiers'
Killing of Over 100 Civilians Waiting For Aid In Gaza

    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/2...f-over-100-civilians-waiting-for-aid-in-gaza/

    From the Article:

"Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, voiced support, Thursday,
for Israeli soldiers after a shooting left more than 100 Palestinians dead as
they were waiting for humanitarian aid in Gaza City, Anadolu Agency reports."

"He reiterated his demand to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza,
............................................................ claiming it poses threats to soldiers."

So we must stop Humanitarian Aid because unarmed and starving civilians,
women & children pose a threat to heavily armed and American funded

soldiers of the IDF. Well if YOU can believe that, YOU have reduced
YOURSELF to believing an Absurdity -

    again this thing states:

We must give complete support to our heroic fighters operating in Gaza,
who acted excellently against a Gazan mob that tried to harm them,”
    Ben-Gvir said in a statement."

Failing to mention that in this case the heavily armed soldiers of the IDF
are facing off against Starving Civilians, most of whom are women and

    .............................................................................................................. children

    He also called
the incident another clear reason why we must stop transferring this aid .”

Failing to mention that purposely Staving a Civil Population is a clear
act of War Crime and Genocide

It is a state, and thanks to Israeli brutality, it will likely soon be a country.

Palestine is a country with diplomatic relations with 139 other countries.

It has Observer State status in the UN, which gives Palestine access to various of its organs.

A majority of the UN Security Council voted Palestine full UN membership (being the way a state becomes a member).

But, the USA vetoed that action, as the US has vetoed every UN action that Israel doesn't like.

The 1967 borders recognize that Palestine exists.

Palestine recognizes that Israel has a permanent right to exist.

It does PO Israel that Palestine doesn't recognize Israel as a "Jewish State".

Permanence is not in question by Palestine.

HOWEVER. Permanence of Palestine is absolutely rejected by Israel.

The 1977 Likud party platform flat out stated that Israel extends from the river to the sea. Since then, that platform does not say that Palestine can not exist. However, it does say that Israel has the right to settle lands from the river to the sea, and that those settlements operate as part of Israel.

Given that statement, there really is no possibility of there being a state of Palestine, as such a state would have no control over it's on borders nor authority over its own lands, or safe permanent investments in infrastructure, or of being an attractive business partner.

    Clever? Or genocidal?

I am not a great expert here, but as far as I can tell, the pursuit of the two state solution has been American policy for a quarter of a century. We have pressured Israel to negociate borders in good faith and stop building settlements. We have used our veto time and time and time again and provided them with military aid to provide them sufficient security and cover to engage in those good faith negociations. Nothing has ever come of it. We are just not getting what we say we want to happen, to happen.

So lets just stop coddling Israel, follow the rest of the world and actually be a neutral party here that insists on peace at every step. Stop the military aid which is not getting us closer to peace. Stop using the veto that is not getting us closer to peace. Only humanitarian aid, and only in direct proportion to humanitarian need.

We may get no further towards our goals of peace, but at least we won't be part of the problem either. I feel like we are using our money and authority to protect Israel from the worst consequences of its own belligerence and thus contrary to our own stated policy goals. Let's realign our actions to conform with our humanitarian values and our objectives for the region.

Amen. These are strong points. We certainly are not getting anything remotely like what we claim to want.

We aren't getting peace. We aren't getting respect for our principles of the rule of law or the fundamental right of representation. We are growing disapproval from all regional governments, hindering other objectives we might ever have. We are even aiding genocide!

There is simply NO dimension in which our involvement in this conflict over the last two decades could be considered positive.

You can't read what you just posted and see the obvious problem?

You're acting as though the primary problem in the region is Israel

    Palestine agrees with you.

The Likud party strenuously disagrees with you, as stated in their party platforms.

They are the part of the problem that we have been aiding and abetting in concrete ways. I am also in favor of refusing to provide Palestine with military aid or using our veto pen on the security council on their behalf too. Let's not continue to subsidize and prop up a failing partner for peace.

It is Israel that is carrying out genocide against the Palestinian people.

The ICJ has supported this claim, brought by South Africa and supported by numerous countries around the world, stating that there is strong evidence for Israel's acts being genocide.

For decades, Israel has kept Gaza blockaded - which is a continuing act of war, leaving Gaza in desperate poverty while refusing to discuss any end to their war.

In West Bank, Israel has been progressively stealing and bulldozing the land of Palestinians living there, to the point where there are settlements on the Jordan River. Yet, the government of West Bank has proceeded on a path of negotiations only and a rejection of violence, even as Israel carries out its humanitarian atrocities against them.

Yes. Israel IS the problem. You can't claim that the response of Palestinians is somehow out of scale with the atrocities Israel perpetrates.

Oh, please. Why are you asking that question again?

    President Abbas speaks for Palestine.

Hamas has stated that President Abbas negotiates for them.

President Abbas has been strict about rejection of violence as an approach, choosing negotiation only. He appeals to the UN. He cooperates with the IDF on West Bank security.

What has Palestine achieved by taking the fully legal approach of negotiation and nonviolence for the last 20 YEARS?

What is the argument to Hamas that the direction must be nonviolent and focused on negotiation?

Do you somehow imagine that Hamas is oblivious to the monumental failure of the Abbas approach of legal process and negotiation, and the US unopposable opposition of progress by those means?
