This is the first I've heard of it. It's nice to see that some countries are trying to break free from the total control of the deep state. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

Dr. McCullough is one of the good guys, an expert with a conscience.

Absence of conscience is the hallmark of today's Medical Industrial Complex.

    More crackpot stuff.

As a general rule, a consensus of public health experts is far more valid than the notions of media entertainers and political ideologues in matters of public health.

According to the National Poison Data System (NPDS), which collects information from the nation's 55 poison control centers,
there was a 245% jump in reported exposure cases from July to August.

There is no shortage of legitimate media sources that accurately report the history of Ivermectin. It was approved for human use in 1987.
Most studies show it has little to no effect when it comes to treating COVID-19. A few politicians and media entertainers with no medical qualifications are currently hyping it for COVID.

    Consequently, as noted above,

Different sources say different things. I wouldn't trust anything from the mainstream* right now as they are known liars.

These guys seem to have common sense and the right backgrounds and they say that ivermectin could end the pandemic right now if the people in charge would permit it.

Sorry but I don't remember exactly at which time marks they discussed this but it was in the first hour.

Clinical studies are going on now because of past studies that showed promising results. To refer to the potential of Ivermectin helping with Covid as Crack Pot tells me your post is entirely uninformed and more in line with propaganda then information.

I wouldn't trust the ideological propaganda sites. Nor would I trust the ideologues who lie and label those who report the truth as "liars."
That goes for climatological science, election integrity, etc.

In regard to public health matters, I trust qualified, experienced public health experts.

FDA, CDC, doctors warn not to use ivermectin for COVID treatment, prevention

Doctors, pharmacists, the federal government and several healthcare organizations warn against using ivermectin, a parasite drug commonly used on animals, as a treatment for COVID-19.

"It's a medication that's widely used in veterinary care for horses and large animals," explained Dr. Joshua Sherman, ER doctor at Advocate Trinity Hospital. "It does have some human indications, as well as mainly for parasitic diseases, things that are extremely rare."

Sherman said some patients have asked him about taking ivermectin, and he doesn't hold back.

"It's not safe. It isn't safe, it isn't intended for this use. It has the potential to cause multiple organ failure and could land you in the hospital. And, hopefully not, it could also land you dead," he said.

If someone has a cardiological problem, I recommend that they consult cardiologists, not media entertainers they find entertaining.

Those three guys in the video I posted are experts. Don't you think it's strange when different experts say opposite things? How do you decide who's telling the truth?

Your sources are not well informed.

Did you know just in Africa, at least four times as many people take ivermectin annually than there are horses in the whole world?

Don’t misunderstand, ingesting horse dewormer is not wise. But human ivermectin use just for Onchocerciasis control alone in Africa has resulted in preventing 17.4 million years of lost healthy human life. Categorizing ivermectin as a veterinary drug is far from accurate even if some are sourcing ivermectin from veterinary suppliers.

Ivermectin use in humans is not rare, it is not dangerous, and the conditions in humans it is used for are not rare. It is still in clinical trials and has not yet been shown to be highly efficacious as an anti viral. But your sources are straight up ignorant or lying.

And, unless and until it is shown to be effective and safe, ideologues hyping it is premature, at the very least.

You cherry-pick a self-serving clip from a notorious propaganda website that tells ideologues what they want to hear, one in which individuals, with no credentials in public health, immunology, or virology stated, cite no legitimate studies.

Again, don't be duped by the fakes because they pander to your political agenda.

Same here in Australia now. People are ending up in hospital, not due to their Covid symptoms, but rather Ivermectin poisoning. It appears that nutters are not geographically specific.

It may be nice to have some other means of treatment against covid but what is the issue with taking a vaccine that has been in development for over a decade?

The CDC and FDA and other legitimate medical authorities, with their vast expertise and experience in public health, do not fit your ideological agenda, so you must deny their undeniable acumen. Some prefer quacks, ideological entertainers, undocumented claims, and propaganda media cites that comport with their political agenda, apparently.
Citation desperately needed. Are you too embarrassed to expose your source?
    Citation desperately needed, again.
    True.

Why are some folks with no credentials in virology hyping it?

Ivermectin has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat river blindness, intestinal strongyloidiasis, head lice and rosacea in humans. When used as prescribed for those conditions, it is "generally safe and well tolerated," the CDC said. But the National Institutes of Health has determined there is "insufficient data" to recommend the drug for COVID prevention and treatment, and the FDA has not approved it for such uses either.

Seven studies on the drug have published results in the U.S. National Library of Medicine, but all of them have small sample sizes, "incomplete information and significant methodological limitations," the NIH said. Several clinical trials are underway or recruiting participants to study future implementation.

As use of the anti-parasitic drug increases, so do reports of adverse effects, the CDC said.

Poison control centers across the country have seen an uptick in calls reporting human exposures to ivermectin. In July, there was a five-fold increase in the number of calls the centers received about the drug compared to the number of calls pre-pandemic. The centers also saw an "increased frequency of adverse effects and emergency department/hospital visits," the CDC said.

I had no opinion on ivermectin until the pandemic began. I looked at both sides of the story and then formed an opinion.

What do you think of this info?

Ivermectin administration started on 8th August. A colleague who ran a 22-bed hospital in an old-age care home was able to empty the hospital in six days, despite five of the patients being classed as ‘critical’ at the outset.

There are lots of stories like this on non-mainstream sites. If you think they're false, tell us why.

I'm guessing you totally bought into the stories from "an Oklahoma hospital" promoted by MSM last month. Turns out they were all false narratives, the modus operandi of the mainstream.

You posted a link in which a family gp expresses her opinion. She is not a public heath specialist, an epidemiologist, or a virologist. Anecdotal endorsements of ineffective and even dangerous drugs abound. Accounts of promising results merit clinical studies. Some bear out, most establish the alleged nostrum as being ineffective and/or dangerous.

Since I am not an expert in the field, I rely upon those who are to conduct proper clinical studies to determine the safety and effectiveness of any treatment.

Currently, the National Institutes of Health has determined there is "insufficient data" to recommend Ivermectin for COVID prevention and treatment, and the FDA has not approved it for such uses either.
