The British were also advancing steadily through Palestine, capturing Jerusalem in December 1917. The British decisively defeated the Turks at Megiddo in September 1918, although the Arabs did manage to enter Damascus before the British were in a position to do so. The Ottomans capitulated soon after which left all of their previous dominions up for grabs.

Yes there are a few from the conquered territory by Jordan in 1947-8, the majority are Arab with mostly relations to Egypt... Notice the last names of quite a few called 'Masri' or Al Masri', Tantawi, Kahiri, Fayoumi, etc., Even Arafat could not hide the fact that he was born in Egypt.

 

You think a Palestinian with the last name al Masri is Egyptian?????????

Arafat's birth was REGISTERED in Egypt because Egypt administered Gaza and Palestine.
