And what was ludicrous Dan? Your definition of responsibiltiy but you never defined it? Or my definition of responsibility and never defined it.

If you were the CEO, like you said you were, you would have picked up on the different definitions of what you and I describe as "being responsible." But you never did, did you. Instead, you ASSumed you were right and everyone else, or me, was wrong because that is not how you perceive things. YOu did this by calling me a liberal and now calling me clueless while at the same time, trying the pathetic backpedalling you are doing right now.

On the business side, lets take for instance Lee Ioccoca. Would you say he is responsible? How about Donald Trump? Or Thomas W. Horton? Or Daniel F. Akerson? Or Angelo R. Mozilo? Do you want more here? Were any of these CEO responsible? Were they fired if they were not responsible?

As for the military, what you gave was done in the 1950's, 1960's, or 1970's, but not as strict now. Take for instance Rep Allen of Florida who was given a discharge, not a dishonorable discharge, but simply a discharge despite the fact that he did not follow regulations at that time. For Navy board of inquiries, even the Captain of the USS Cole, Commander Kirk Lippold was still allowed in service after what happened. Only the Senate did not confirm him to be selected for Captain, not the Navy. It appears that these public events do not meet what your experience has shown, much less has proven.

From an analytical viewpoint, yes, but from a psychological/human viewpoint, probably not since the small business owner will probably blame others for the mistake and not his own. And in my experience a majority of them do.

He can blame anyone he want's (clearly, so can you). But at the end of the day the check is written with his money.

From a literal viewpoint, he pays for the mistake.

And one can always shift liabilities to someone else and not pay for the mistake at all. But that is a different topic altogether.

I picture you as a she. Still do.

Yes, it is - but you're ignorant to the facts, apparently, as there is NO COMPARISON between the program from 2000 to when Obama infected it.

    No more bullsh!t, ssa.

Would love to learn that trick. If one can always shift liabilities, what's to stop the other guy from shifting em back? Maybe 'always' was a bit hasty?

Sarcasm aside though, running your own business means the buck stops with you. Somedays that's good, somedays it's less fun, but you never get to run away from the bottom line of it.

Well, if you think I am a she, then you must be an it.

    Y
Do you know what it means to be identified as a straw purchaser? Or can you coorelate between the Brian Terry Case, the Hernandez Case, and the Madrono case.

The problem is small business owners do it all the time by running away.

Look, the mythos of "the buck stops here" is nice for bumper stickers and political headlines, but one will always say and do, "I really do not recall that Senator.?

You're really out to lunch on gun walking.

Yes ti was tried under the Bush administration and abandoned because it doesn't work.

So Obama and Holder knew it didn't work when they started doing it again.

I don't see how Clinton's testimony is relevant. If you own the company, it's your buck that's at risk -- whether you recall it or not.

Gunwalking steadily declined from 2007 to 2012, not completely eliminated and restarted.

So you have decided to "come out of the closet" and admit that you are not just a liberal but a far far left radical liberal. Figures.

that has nothing to do with liberalism or conservatism Dan, it has to do with business and business strategy.

Reading books written by economists does not teach you anything about business. And your posts indicate pure book "knowledge."

Earlier you gave me a list of names. What doesa few random names have to do with MILLIONS of CEO's over the last 70 years? Next to nothing. Why didn't you include Isao Inokuma in your list of names?

    And the principal still stands.

obama is the CEO of USA Inc. And the CEO has failed to perform. Failed miserably and completely. He WILL be replaced.

All of your post emanate from a FAR left point of view. Perhaps you should learn about yourself before trying to teach successful, retired CEO's.

No matter how hard you attempt to disparage my experience [and I avoid mirror thinking] I'll always be able to say, IT WORKED FOR ME.

Silly deflection but just because you may not have used such financial schemes does not mean every business out there has not. You want to try your argument again.

And what are you afraid of? Lack of expertise. You keep claiming how much business experience you have but fail to show it. All you do is blame, blame, blame, blame, blame. It is getting very boring right now and shows just how much of a lack of intellecty you truly have.

    To you absolutely.

the United States government is not a corporation. It never was, never has, nor never will be. It is operated completely different than any type of business entity you are familiar with and not familiar with. The President does not have that much power to control the economy, trade, or even foreign policy. Most of the power is actually vested in Congress now, not the President, And it is them you have to get to walk side by side. Even when all three branches were controlled by either party, we did not have any type of "dictatorship" or command control that you are alluding to.

Obama might be replace and if he is, all we have is a copy of a copy of Bush and that is all. both persons want deficits to continue, not the political BS you read on the internet or hear on TV or the radio.

What does left and right have to do with Business? YOu are absolutely clueless and now a huge yellow belly streak right now.

Just because it worked for you does not mean it can work for anyone else. There are just too many variables to contend with. It shows just how lacking you are when it comes to business. You have a very acute myopic, self delusion of your own ego and your post reeks of lack of broad based buisness experience.

Gunwalking stopped under Bush and then started again when Obama and Holder came along.

They knew they program was a failure but chose to do it anyway.

To me that is criminal negligence at the very least.

Gun waking never stopped under Bush because the Madrano case proved that.

    Never heard of him.

But we have heard of Brian Terry, the Border Agent murdered with guns supplies by Obama and Holder.

here is the article from wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATF_gunwalking_scandal

    The Medrano Case
The 2008 Alejandro Medrano case involved both ATF SAC William Newell and cooperating Tucson gun dealer Mike Detty of Operation Wide Receiver. ATF Phoenix allowed about 100 guns to be taken into Mexico over the objections of ICE personnel who became aware of the case. Phoenix ATF SAC Newell acknowledged to ICE "that letting guns cross the border was part of ATF’s plan". In August 2010, Medrano was sentenced to 46 months, his associate Hernan Ramos received 50 months and their fellow conspirators received prison terms from 14 to 30 months, but the target, a Sinaloa Cartel kingpin nicknamed "Rambo", remained untouched inside Mexico.[32]

Excellent, You are the most "intellecty"** name caller of all time. Perhaps you did not notice as you were so busy attempting to call me names with words beyond your ken, but you have just posted a list of your opinions. Opinions that I consider both stupid and liberal. But you did a helluva job with the name calling.

Your only problem is, I've been there and done that, you only know what you've read and been told to say. Sad.

*** Great word. You could be right since I have no clue of the definition of that word.

And I do have a complete lack of BUISNESS experience, whatever that might entail. But I do have extensive world wide successful BUSINESS experience. Probably not to the extent that you've read about it.
