    Extreme example but I'll play.

If that ruling was made after an exhaustive evidentiary hearing specifically on the issue, I doubt I'd have much room to argue save to say that I have 100% zero confidence in any US Judge because they are ALL political appointees, and thus beholden to someone. I am happy to rest my hat on US Jury decisions including Grand Jury decisions.

I don't recall saying that. In truth, I have my misgivings, but I am not going to leap into saying that it has been demonstrated she is incompetent or unreliable as an Officer of the Court. It's far too easy for detractors to glibly toss those words around suggesting they know what they are talking about and that it is a stake in the heart of a Vampire Willis.

I'll say right here and now. Willis is perfectly and ethically able to continue prosecuting any bastard including Humpty*** who has been indicted by a Grand Jury.

That's the point I'm trying to make here. So far, you're the only one to say Fani is competent and reliable (see below). Everyone else is just defending the continued prosecution by an incompetent and unreliable prosecutor because they hate Trump so much. That undermines the faith in our justice systerm.

This isn't about establishing cause for indictment. This is about a prosecuting attorney's impropriety being discovered halfway through a trial.

Do you think it would be wise to replace the prosecuting attorney with someone more competent and more reliable?

You will have observed that my comments then were hinged on the findings of the Judge as my current comments are.

If you want to replace the AG (who is NOT the prosecuting attorney in Court) of that County, mount your votes and get rid of her. No skin off my nose at all. Until then, she remains the AG. Nothing I can do about that, and nothing the Judge can do about that.

Yes I get that your reality is dictated by the judge. I don't think that is a common sentiment, at least here in the US. When judges make unreasonable decisions, most people here in the US think to themselves 'there's something wrong with that judge, I sure hope they don't ever judge me.'

Totally in the 'eye of the beholder.' Because I am down here, I am sort of immune from USA self interest apart from being totally committed to doing all I can and still retain credibility to ensure the Planet is not yet again influenced by a monster***.

I have no issue with Willis, and that isn't a secret since my thoughts on Trump about 1/6 and of course the election fraud BS. This is Trump's bed, he made it.

Answer below. If he is innocent of "violating statutes", why is using delay tactics?

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/read-the-full-georgia-indictment-against-trump-and-18-allies

The indictment describes those charged as part of a criminal organization that violated the state’s racketeering (or RICO) law. Other charges include making false statements and writings, impersonating a public officer, filing false documents, influencing witnesses, conspiracy to defraud the state and perjury, among others.

The charges aren't specific, that's why I'm asking you to cite the specifics of the charges that got dismissed. The prosecution doesn't state which part of the oath and Constitution the defendants allegedly tried to get public officials to violate. That's too vague to proceed. That is a requirement for such an indictment. Failure to provide three specifics is a due process violation.

Additionally, they're trying to get the case dismissed due to conflicts. A dismissal is not just a delay. The judge has already ruled there is an appearance of a conflict and that Fani's behavior was illegal. He also ruled that dismissal is required, but to "resolve" the conflict, he dismissed the subordinate rather than the person who created the conflict. That's illogical. Regardless of how he ruled on this matter one party was always going to appeal. The delay was Fani waiting to interrupt the election to bring the charges.

The attached outlines the Rico case in more detail. Rest assured, that for every one of those charges, the prosecution has tons of evidence. Although, they must turn over all that evidence to the defendant's attorneys, neither side is required to make that information public. Actually, it is often the opposite. In high profile cases, judges will order both sides not to release information about the case to the public.

https://www.nolo.com/news/understan...,of prison time. Trump faces 13 felony counts.

What Allegations Do Trump and Co-Defendants Face in the Georgia Indictment?
The Georgia indictment alleges that Trump and his allies unlawfully conspired to overturn the 2020 election results. It details their alleged efforts and schemes to persuade Georgia and other state officials to reject their electoral votes for Biden and instead appoint electors to cast votes for Trump. These alleged efforts included:
    • making false statements to individual state officials and state legislative bodies
    • creating and transmitting false electoral votes
    • harassing election workers and unlawfully accessing voter and ballot data
    • filing false documents with government and judicial officials
    • soliciting false statements from officials at the U.S. Department of Justice, and
    • soliciting Vice President Pence to violate his Constitutional duties.
The indictment pulls in not only activities that occurred in Georgia but also efforts that took place around the country for a period of nearly two years. Trump and others claim that they truly believed the election was rigged (and still do) and that their efforts reflected their attempts to right a grievous wrong.

Fani Willis Could Still Be Disqualified From Trump Case.

He teed her up so that upper court could sack her.

'In the wake of his absurd ruling allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the case against Donald Trump despite blatant conflicts of interest and lying under oath, Judge Scott McAfee is allowing the former president to immediately appeal the ruling.'

'“In its Order, the Court found that District Attorney Willis’ actions had created an appearance of impropriety and an ‘odor of mendacity’ that lingers in this case, as well as the continuing possibility that ‘an outsider could reasonably think that District Attorney Willis is not exercising her independent professional judgment totally free of any compromising influences,'”'

    She stinks of lies.

If the appeal is accepted, it could delay things about six months or so, which is going to piss people off. She should have recused herself.

Both sides would have appealed regardless of the decision. But Fani not recusing herself after being eviscerated in the ruling for being dishonest, unprofessional, and engaging in unlawful behavior against the defendants will be fuel if the appellate court accepts this. Not exactly a smart cookie.

It's incredible that you comment on this case while being so ignorant of the law.

Not knowing what you're talking about is a MAGA virtue.

None of the analysis you've provided in this thread has led me to believe you followed the hearings or understand the underlying law...

As evidenced by you apparently thinking this is a "gotcha" response.

    upload_2024-3-20_19-36-8.png
Also evidenced by this post. I'm willing to put my skills up against yours at any time. Feel free to make a cogent response to kick it off. Thus far you have failed to do so.

Judge McAfee has issued a ruling.

MAGA said he was competent when he allowed lawyers for Trump's co-defendants to hold a hearing to try to remove Willis from the case, but he became a nobody after he decided to let her stand.

I think I've summed it up pretty well.

Now Trump is going to sit his fat a** in that courtroom and face his crimes.

America deserves answers to these cases, prior to the election. If Trump is innocent like he says, he can prove it, and he will probably emerge victorious in the election. Otherwise.....

Last summer, he called a press conference to make public all the 'irrefutable proof' that the Georgia elections had been rigged.

He called it off three days later.

After 4 years, he must be very eager to unveil this in front of the judge and Fani Willis.....

So your entire premise is to wine about "MAGA" and don't have anything cogent to say about the case? That sounds about right. I figured I wouldn't get an intelligent legal analysis despite your prior post. Cool, "MAGA" sucks. Now what? Anything intelligent to add? How about you define "evidence" in a legal context since you made a huge blunder in the post I provided a screenshot for? It's obvious you do not know what the word evidence means which demonstrates a bigly degree of ignorance of the law. Sad!

Trump strategy - delay, delay, delay. If he was innocent, as he claims, he should be wanting to show the world. It would help him in the election.

These allegations were brought by the attorney of a co-defendant, Michael Roman. He was seeking due process and integrity in the case. The initial information that kicked everything off came from Wade's "friend." This former law partner and personal attorney of Wade reached out to a defense attorney he knew, Merchant, and brought the allegations forward. The defense didn't seek them out. But, it's cute when people knee-jerk blame everything on Trump to fuel conspiracy theories.

YAWN... I suppose Trump had nothing to do with allegations of criminal conduct?
    • making false statements to individual state officials and state legislative bodies
    • creating and transmitting false electoral votes
    • harassing election workers and unlawfully accessing voter and ballot data
    • filing false documents with government and judicial officials
    • soliciting false statements from officials at the U.S. Department of Justice, and
    • soliciting Vice President Pence to violate his Constitutional duties.

Despite all the failures of leftist policies the last several decades, and especially the last few years you would think they would have some integrity and just shut their mouths. Instead the go on and on spewing their nonsense, all the while destroying everything they get their hands on. Do you people have any decency, or is it just about destroying civilization at this point?
