People can choose to remain ignorant in the face of facts.
You can choose to blow off evidence and call it meaningless. But the consequences of failing to recognize and deal with reality, to apply sound principles...
Is pretty much what's going on right now.

Unrestrained corruption. People looking at the things destroying their future- and yawning. Dramatic increase in violence at all levels, because people no longer believe that rules mean anything. Ignorance thriving. Extremism thriving. Stupidity embraced- and thriving. People accepting those things, and telling themselves they are smarter because of it; ignoring the damage they are inflicting on their own world.

My think-tank group lost a man with the best mind I've ever known a few years back. He told us-
"People are becoming morons who will never learn- and it is by choice. I'm not going to spend any more of my life trying to save them from themselves".

His predictions are coming true;. I'm still believing that there is an answer. When I read answers like yours, he gets another point on the scoreboard.

The best plan, the greatest wisdom in the world are useless if you are not smart enough to follow it.

We have seen many incidents where a corrupt government has had those who politically oppose it arrested and prosecuted.
Honestly elected people don't try to imprison their political opponents and censor their critics.
These are the tactics of corrupt dictators, usually in banana republics, not free nations.

We have the greatest nation on earth. It's not perfect but beats whatever is next ... exponentially. It's NOT "corrupt"; There is nothing wrong with America that can't be fixed by what is right with America; as we saw in the 2020 election. Traitor tRump tried his best to corrupt OUR government, but that's been fixed by booting his ass out. 8)

False! He tried to prevent election fraud by wanting to check irregularities in the votes before the certification. Mike Pence had the authority to pause the certification but he turned into Judas Benedict Arnold Pence and the result is the Usurper illegally occupying the oval office.

Yes. That gave him a glimmer of hope for a while, but he watched the agencies in government protect Hillary from prosecutions, watched them ignore the media censorship and support the left's vendetta- and that confirmed his previous position. He knew he was right. Again. Stupid people can be fed manure by telling them it's beefsteak, and they will thank you for it. Accept stealing from others, call it fair if they think they will benefit from it. They never realize they are corrupting the only standards that protect themselves. Lots of pawns in society. Lots of whining and demands, but always on others. Corrupt politicians love them. Dependency is a hell of a lot easier to sell than strength and freedom. You should be old enough to know that, but not everyone reaches maturity at the same stage. Some never do.

I have not seen any evidence of any culpability towards Joe Biden. Yes, plenty of allegations, but nothing direct or circumstantial. I have seen I some evidence, publicly, in which Hunter may be guilty of IRC 7202, and that is pretty much it. If you look at Comer's evidence so far, all he has done is proven money from Point A to Point B to Point C. That is it. If you look at the texts, all of them, in sequential order, you will see there is much ado about nothing. Most are normal, routine, business texts with nothing substantial in those texts. "Big Guy was mentioned once in a text, and a few texts later, someone else said let's leave that person out of the deal. Testimony from Devin Archer did not help Comer at all. Although he testified that Hunter frequently made phone calls to his dad, none of the phone conversations were business related. In fact, his testimony said, "The phone calls were casual and personal." That is not a business call in any reality. Then you have those FD 1023s. These are raw, unverified information. That means no evidence whatsoever by the person. These documents do not determine the credibility of the accusations or of the person making those accusations. It is simply writing down what those accusations are.

Look, bank statements can prove money going in and money going out. If I had 6 months to a year of your bank statements, the only thing I can do is really prove what money goes in and what money goes out. I can get a pretty good idea of what your spending habits are, among other things personal. But none of that proves any criminal culpability domestically or internationally. For me to do that, I need something more, like agreements, contracts, and so forth. Something was written down physically or electronically. I used to do this for a living you know and have done this plenty of times. The other thing that bank statements is to prove income under a bank deposit analysis. To do that again, you need copies of deposit slips, contracts, emails, and other documents to show the reason why you got a deposit, counter credit, or wire transfer. With wire transfers, it is easy because it shows you, generally, where that wire transfer comes from. But you still need those additional documents. And even with Trump, with three indictments, with the evidence they actually have, nothing has been proven yet either. But that comes in a trial. We will have a trial in NYC, Washington DC, and in Miami Florida. We have proceedings of an indictment in Atlanta Georgia. But a congressional investigation is not something that is criminal. They can refer criminal charges, but with what they have so far, no DA or AG will pursue that matter with what Comer's got. And hence the problem. You are listening way too much to conservative media, social media, and talk radio, mostly by people who have no clue in what they are talking about or are completely lying to you.

Comer has not subpoenaed those addtional documents. All he is doing if it comes from China, then it must be bad, like the CEFC. CEFC is a private company in China. Yes, it does lots of business with the Communist Party in China. But then again, we have companies like ExxonMobile which does plenty of business with the United States government. Want to tell me how that is different somehow? I think not. And if a person who worked for CEFC, came here under a visa, went through an FBI check, and even answered all those questions, including, "are you a member of an organization that wants to destroy the United States Government." Every immigrant who comes to this country is asked that question. And for the government to say otherwise, they must have proof, substantial proof. And nothing Comer has or even the government, including DHS, has that period.

The whole point of this investigation is really not Hunter nor Joe Biden. It is the American voter to persuade them that Joe is not to be trusted. The public went through this once with DJT and the Steele Dossier. The public was fooled once there, now they are being fooled again here. As the adage says, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." And this is all about 2024 and who controls the WH, Democrat or Republican.

Criminals always make mistakes. We have seen that with the three indictments of DJT. I have seen this plenty of times where the person who did the deed really talked to someone and admitted it. And that person either goes to the police or is interviewed by the police in what he said. But a lot of times, it is the forensic evidence that gets the criminal in most cases. With financial crimes, it is in the paperwork I told you about that gets, or their lack of trying as was the case with Hunter who pretty much did not do a damn thing when he owed that money. If he went on a payment plan or somet hing, he would not be facing these charges, would he? And what you wrote comes from TV and movies. They are fake, for entertainment purposes. You do come close with the First 48, 48 Hours, Dateline, and so forth, but even that is the cliff notes version. And we all know that the cliff notes version only gives you the synopsis, not the real, glory details. For that, you have to actually watch all of the trials. Try watching a trial, from beginning to end on Court TV or Law and Crime. You will find out that is not what TV portrays, for the defendant, the prosecution, the defense, or even the witnesses. You will probably find it very boring after about 2 hours.

Finally, we are seeing why Comer failed his bar exam. If you are listening to Comer, it is like taking financial advice from someone who failed the Certified Financial Exam. And I know you would not do that. No one with a good enough financial education would.

    I’m questioning your rationale/math….

    As a percentage of how many people attended Trump’s “Stop The Steal” rally;

According to the Associated Press, there were at least 10,000 people in attendance, thus, 1,500 rioters out of 10,000 people in attendance = 15%

In addition, the belief that Pence could unilaterally reject electoral votes….

Trump; “All Pence has to do is reject electoral votes”

Trump; “Pence didn’t the courage to reject electoral votes”

    Results; Hang Mike Pence!

All of the above based on a FLAWED THEORY that Pence/the VP had the constitutional authority to unilaterally reject electoral votes.

The question people should be asking is how many gullible idiots attended Trump’s “Stop The Steal” rally, and then, marched to the Capitol?

    Answer; at least 10,000

So, you don't trust the Judicial system because the ethics rules were written by the DOJ? I would surmise you don't trust lawyers and their ethics because it was written by other lawyers? Or how about CPAs and tax attorneys you don't trust because of the Circular 230 rules, the ethics rules within that profession, because it was written by other CPAs and Tax Attorneys? Or how about the medical profession in which medical ethics is written by other doctors? Or nurses and their ethical rules written by other nurses and nurse practitioners? You see, most professional associations, especially those who quite literally have the power of life and death, and no, I am not being melodramatic here, have written these rules, including the Judiciary, long before Trump was even considering to run for President, like in 1989 for instance. The other problem you may have if you accept all other professions and not the judiciary is that it is more to your political ideology in which you want the rules to specify towards your own specific ideology and no one else. And yet, you do not have one shred of evidence in which the DC Judge, or any other judge has violated those rules. Oh hell, even Judge Cannon, the Document case, has not been favorable to Trump nor the Prosecution so far that I have seen. She may be inexperienced in such trials as the one she has in front of her, but that does not mean she is not unethical, now does it?

Look, I really don't care what you believe. You can believe in little green men. You can believe we never walked on the moon. You can believe that 9/411 never happened. But if you are going to accuse the judiciary of not being independent because of Trump, you better have some damn strong evidence, more than a reasonable doubt to make that accusation. Otherwise, all you are doing is pissing in the wind here in this forum with that crapola.

NOTE: My previous post and this post has everything to do with your post that I replied to. You are basically accusing the judge of being impartial, in not so many words, either because of her political affiliation or something else. So, all you are doing is throwing dung at the wall to see what sticks. I hate to break it to you, but none of it is sticking.

What procedure(s) Mike Pence had the authority to pause?

By calling in sick? “In the absence of the President of the Senate, the President pro tempore of the Senate presides and calls the session to order”

With a motion to adjourn before the votes are officially recorded?

    By faking a heart attack?

    Please explain how?

Self evidently he is, and if he thinks that the judge is not being impartial or is corrupt, then he should appeal that to a superior court. He has done that has he?

If there is a basis for that, then he/his lawyers should seek an appropriate order. They have done that, have they?

Objectively false, he isn’t. It isn’t a question if the judge is corrupt, she openly stated she will speed up the trial beyond what is necessary if her emotions dictate a thing as necessary.

Judge warns Trump: Exercising your right of free speech will result in punitive measures on your trial so don't speak to the public about your case where I can't exert control over what you can say.

Learn to say less. And yes, it is very troubling if the laws/rules meant to REGULATE these actors, are written by the actors themselves. Haven't you ever heard of the 'wolf guarding the henhouse'? That is exactly what we have here. The fact is, the vast majority of us don't face trial and prosecution, and don't want to. And now that it's become public in a way, we are now learning the ugly face of the justice system.

We now know the main reason that there's a 95% rate of conviction, is because in your own words: They write the rules, to their own trials. What's the difference from that and King George's edict? Very little actually. But it now makes perfect sense why they rallied against Judge Cannon. Now it makes sense why the prevailing sense was 'When in doubt, abide by the government'.

Because the rules were set up that way. Why have a defense attorney at that point? No, seriously, a defense attorney cannot really represent an individual under these circumstances. The best they can do, is minimize the damage, maybe. But given the heavy hand the defense faces, even that is an uphill battle.

Even if you somehow manage to win over the joint efforts of the government and the judiciary, you have to be stuck with the lawyer's fees. Wow, they say crime doesn't pay but a thorough evaluation of our system shows how true that is.

None of it sticks for you, because you support it. That's fine, but for me, we are inching ever closer to how the Russian Federation does business.
We should not be proud of a 95% conviction rate. That's actually terrible for a free and prosperous society.

The biggest issue, and the one you support the most, is this joint government-judiciary fusion that betrays the constitution and the reason for the revolution. We might as well have stayed subservient to the English Crown if this were to be our judicial system.

We cannot accept a world where lawyers, who benefit from beneficial rulings, make the rules. That cannot be our system.

Her comments themselves were emotional. She doesn’t have to directly mention that she is being emotional to derive it.
