LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A jury of six women and one man on Friday found ex-Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent Scott Ziegler guilty of using his position to retaliate against a teacher for cooperating with a grand jury investigating how the district handled sexual assault.

After a four-day trial plus a day of deliberations, the jury found that Ziegler wrongfully fired a teacher who had disclosed to Virginia investigators about mishandling of sexual assault in her classroom. Ziegler was convicted of using his official position to retaliate against someone for exercising their rights, and acquitted of punishing someone for testifying to a jury, both misdemeanors.

Ziegler could face up to 12 months in jail, a $2,500 fine, or both.

This is great news and something for left wing school officials to consider in the future. Hopefully Ziefler will serve jail time and never again work in any capacity involving oversight of public schools. Perhaps liberal defenders of this guy could comment on why you people want to cover up rapes in public schools. It will be interesting to see how the 1 million dollar civil lawsuit against this guy plays out.

Buy the way this guy's annual public salary was $323,000 plus a car allowance.

People have had enough with schools protecting violent trannies. I hope this sends a loud message to school districts everywhere.

Bold: I'm curious as to how someone can be convicted of one, but acquitted on the other. One happening necessitates that the other happened.

The problem is, the Left holds public schools financially responsible for mistakes committed by its employees.

So basically, if a public employee makes a mistake, it ends up being the children who financially pay for it, in the form of reduced funding. Since taxpayer funding has been diverted to pay some ridiculously excessive amount of money to the person who was allegedly "wronged", and of course for all the huge legal expenses.

Loudoun Va is slightly left leaning/Dem and so to some extent chickens have come home to roost.

You guys do know what he was found guilty of has NOTHING to do with his undefendable decision after the first assault at Stone Bridge? Right?

Zero to do with your favorite sub class of people...

But they hunted around and found something else on him, which you could probably do for any school district administrator in the country.

Highly doubt he'll see the inside of a jail here...

This is what the article claimed. Note the word use of the word "unrelated". So yes we knew. Is your comment some sort of strawman? I guess to you investing the first rape and discovering a second rape to be investigated is "hunting around?" lol

Prosecutors appointed by Attorney General Jason Miyares, a Republican, said that after they began investigating the school district’s coverup of a bathroom rape, they spoke with Brooks, who disclosed an unrelated instance of mishandling of sexual assault by school administrators. Brooks was then fired by Ziegler for cooperating with the special grand jury.

I kind of missing it why the left should learn about some white male who earns quiet a lot is abusing his position to abuse some woman who has a lower position.
That sounds like a thing where right wingers should take notes.

Perhaps I got that idea from our Attornety General Garland labeling parents upset over the Loudoun school rapes as domestic terrorists.

Yeah, that would have been a good sentence to post in the OP, not post #9. You confused the crap out of poor @Steve N, who decided it was time to go hyper transphobic...

    Think of the children!!

Also, this actual case involved no second "rape"... it was sexual assault BY a child against adults ... and it sounds like this teacher had a valid complaint that was ignored by this dumbass school board Superintendent..

We'd agree on this story if you didn't keep getting the deets wrong...

RICH MEN NORTH OF RICHMOND, TAKE NOTE: Assault victim sues Loudoun County Public Schools for $30 million.

'The daughter of Scott Smith who was 15 at the time she was sexually assaulted by a boy in the girl’s bathroom has filed a lawsuit against the school system for $30 million.'

    Horrible school district.

'The incident garnered national attention. Conservatives protested a policy in Loudoun County schools — put in place after the assault — that allowed transgender students to use bathrooms matching their gender identity. Meanwhile, outraged parents in Loudoun County questioned why the perpetrator was moved to a different school, where he assaulted a second female student months later.'

School board and superintendent lied. The dad protested that his daughter had been sodomized by a trans on the floor of the girls restroom, and they they had law enforcement throw the dad to the floor and cuff him.

'The girl “was admitted to the hospital for two weeks for physical, mental, and emotional trauma she suffered because of the sexual assault,” Stanley said in the lawsuit. She was bullied and harassed by other students after the incident, and a Loudoun County judge in January granted a two-year protective order forbidding contact from one student “who threatened her with death,” Stanley added.'

    $30M isn't enough.

They are confusing it with the right wingers supporting churches covering up and being legally allowed to not report child rape.
