    1. The Manhattan indictments are only peripherally about Stormy. I don't think he'll be told he cannot bad mouth her, although since she'll still likely be a witness and finally say under oath they had a go, he might

    2. The judge would have more success telling his gavel not to do Wordle than he will telling Mango not to post about his cases.

    Original Judge denied Mango's request that the $5M was too high.....

    A federal judge on Wednesday upheld a $5 million jury verdict against Donald Trump, rejecting the former president’s claims that the award was excessive and that the jury vindicated him by failing to conclude he raped a columnist in a luxury department store dressing room in the 1990s.

    Judge Lewis A. Kaplan said the jury’s May award of compensatory and punitive damages to writer E. Jean Carroll for sexual abuse and defamation in the civil case was reasonable.

    I wish MTG would read this section of the judges ruling outloud, so Joe can make another fun campaign ad.... would sound slightly less icky coming from a woman (or MTG in this case)

    Trump did hand over the 5 million to the court so that's good for Carrol, being held there, (escrow (?).
    I think I heard that he can appeal this to the 2nd circuit and something else about Carroll can now motion for him to be sanctioned for "FRIVOLOUS" lawsuit and she could get her lawyer fees paid .
    She filed another suit after she won this one
    It's too crazy trying to remember which lawsuit/appeal/trial etc.

    Last week EJ Carroll filed a motion for ":summary judgement" about the upcoming Jan/2024 trial #1 in relation to the 5 million settled trial # 2.

    A federal judge in New York on Wednesday ruled that writer E. Jean Carroll’s second trial against former President Donald Trump will focus only on the amount of monetary damages that he owes her because she has already proved that he defamed her. In an earlier civil trial, a jury found that Trump had sexually abused Carroll in the dressing room of a New York department store in the 1990s, and then defamed her after he left office by calling her claims a made-up “con job.” Trump denied any wrongdoing in the case.
