    The Kemalists are through in Turkey. With the resignation of the Turkish General Staff, Kemalism has moved into the realm of history. Now there is no reason for Americans to hold back our antipathy to the Turks.

    The Turkish Army was the guardian of Kemalism. But the Army has now been broken politically.

    The officer corps will now be replaced gradually with AKP approved men. Kemalism is dead, and there is no longer any reason for people like me to hold our tongues about Turkey.

    Army is weakened by them yes, but it's not completely destoryed. CHP is still active Kemalist party and still is the main opposition.

    By the way, be more specific about your statements like "hold our antiphaty to Turks", "hold tongues about Turkey" please. No need to make play on words. If you have something against to even secular Turks let us know. Us Turks are not strangers to meaningless hatreds against us.
