How do you expect that to happen if you don't keep politics out of money? It's action/reaction. Political entities(governments) control more money than private institutions could ever dream of, especially since they're the ones that actually create money.

Think about it. Even if some bureaucrat or senator doesn't have funds explicitly in his name, he has de facto ownership of them by virtue of having control over them. So even if a legislator doesn't accept any bribes, he is still motivated by money. That's his job, to decide how to use money in accordance with the "public interest". How do you know that Elliot Spitzer's hookers weren't for the "common good"? The very fact that we elect representatives instead of decide for ourselves what laws we will follow carries with it the implicit assumption that we aren't capable of deciding what the "public good" is, but our representatives are. What naturally follows from that assumption is that our rules are totally justified in doing what will enrich themselves.

You want to keep money out of politics? Abolish nationalization, subsidization, taxation, inflation and regulation. No one will ever give Newt Gingrich even so much as the time of day.

...so we should get rid of politicians and give every American one vote?

So in other words, to keep money out of government, abolish government?
I suppose one way to avoid disease is to commit suicide.

I think the problem is that people expect something so unrealistic as keeping money completely out of politics. People tend to assume that anything that doesn't get rid of a problem 100% is a failure.
Your post does a good job of calling attention to the fact that money in politics is a symptom of politics itself. Of course whatever alternatives there are to politics tend to have their own symptoms. Nothing is perfect.

    Money is out of politics..

    Think about it..
You accept 5 million $$$$ from a UNION..promise them the moon with cheese.
You dont deliver and next time those who didn't give you 1 cent vote you out of office.

The only people out are UNION members..maybe they should tell their unions to stop ?

Same with banks and companies like G.E.

WE completely NEGATE their huge cash donations without spending a DIME.
    A wonderful system...
It's the share holders..the members who should demand the end of wasting cash on politicians.

Then the earmarks..EVERY CITIZEN in at home wants value for their vote.
Think that aint graft and greed ?
We are no different than special interest buying a vote.

people like Murtha.. Paul lived for ever delivering the PORK back home.

Our debt is 14 trillion ?

    want change ?

    DEMAND LESS..
    EXPECT MORE..

    Romney 2012.
