Being forceful with Russia and calling its bluff works. Instead of getting hysterical about Russian nuclear threats we should discuss the reality - yes, nukes are powerful and devastating weapons, but, with current quantities on hand, there aren’t enough nukes out there to destroy Russia or the U.S. Russian officials and trolls are trying to scare western audiences by severely over exaggerating the effects of a potential nuclear exchange. Why should we play along and reinforce these unrealistic fears? Why not openly discuss the realities of how such war would go down? STRATCOM has a war plan for Russia that involves repeated nuclear exchanges, and it plans to win such war. If our strategic command has such a plan, considering the fact that they know a lot more than you or me, then why should we crap our pants every time Pootin mentions the n-word?
