You should mean Putin's ambitoin. Because, he invaded a non-threatening country causing 300k plus deaths while sending his own conscripts who don't want to be there on human wave attacks. Was 4 last time I checked... now up to 7 small abandoned and relatively undefended Villages near a 100 mile zone along the front line.

There is nothing exciting about this .. overwhelming 10 defenders in some undefended village .. This has a total of a rounding error on zero significance in achieving of the overall objective .. what ever that objective might be.

Given the location .. and I encourage you to google map the town of Blahodatne https://www.google.com/maps/@47.5187062,36.9185965,8.08z?entry=ttu .. looks like that objective might be to make a land bridge cutting off Crimea .. which would succeed with taking of Mariupol.

So .. towards that objective taking these tiny abandoned towns is Zero --- but, this does perhaps point to what the objective might be.

The claim that the document was an OSCE product was almost certainly a lie or a gross distortion. Since the document itself was not produced, there's no reason to take the claim seriously.

Unfortunately whatever brief new's flashes people post here about small gains made by Ukraine the hard fact remains this offensive is going to be a slow, bloody, grind, another Kerson not another Kharkiv. Russia has had the best part of a year to prepare multiple lines of obstacles and defensive positions and then lay thousands of mines in front of them. And as incapable as Russia has proven itself to be at organizing proper combined armed offensive operations managing a proactive defensive operation from the cover of fixed defenses is a lot easier, especially when the terrain is so open.

The only real plus for the Ukrainians is that they don't have to advance far to achieve a lot of their objectives. This isn't a march on Moscow, all they need do is grind their way forward (if they can) until, as they currently appear to be trying to do they (A) advance into and or recapture Bakmhut and (B) advance close enough to the east/west road and rail links in Southern Ukraine to place them under Ukrainian guns. Because doing that will cut Russian supply lines almost as effectively as would driving all the way south to the Sea of Azov. (Albeit obviously that would be the best outcome.) And both (A) and (B) would be a PR and military disasters for Putin. Bakhmut because he's gone on national television proclaiming it as Russia' (only) substantive sigh of victory after almost 18 moths of military reverses. And (B) of course puts choke hold on Russian forces in Crimea.

But Ukraine is going to pay in blood trying to achieve either of them, probably even more than the Russians will.
