Ok I get it. Little slow on the uptake.
According to what I've read there were very few armed protesters in that particular encounter. The "people" made a conscious decision to confront them unarmed. Might have been carrying sidearms but at a distance they're all but useless.

As for the "sniper" aiming his "sniper rifle" at the Feds believe it or not we have the same opinion just derived from totally different data.
What that photo shows is a yahoo taking a photo op not a sniper. More of a danger to the protesters than the Feds.
