People will not always being the same situation or have the same prostitutes as you. Period.

If I used my own situation, everyone would be working at 13, and obtaining a management position at 21. However, that is not the case. I have sense enough to realize that not everyone will be granted the same opportunities. Plain and a simple.

Being unwilling is quite a bit different from unable. I do my best to help those who are unable around me, I offer none to the unwilling. Assistance should be and is available for those in need.

Hitler never said it. He has made other verified quotes pertaining to gun control, however that is nothing more than a bumper sticker slogan that sounds cool.

Haven't a clue what you are talking about.

Yet, no one has demonstrated his ability to classify bolt action firearms as machine guns.

Stop moving the goal posts, concede the point.

Um.... no..... they referred to them as "assault weapons" as well.

That is because a 200 year old document cannot be expected to effectively manage a modern society.

    Riiiiggghhhtttt.....

I do not believe that working in the fields are against child labor laws, but the number of hours worked, when, and the use of equipment. I am totally in favor of not using children as slaves.

Not everyone has the same opportunities is true, but most refuse to do what it takes to make oppertunities also, plain and a simple.

I see it everyday, both sides of the fence. There is a difference between unwilling and unable. Plain and simple, end of story. You can change regulations to weed out the unwilling, you can require them to work for benefits (as the local social services office does) you cannot however change many regulations to exclude the unable.

My point being, the idea of rebelling against the government with sporting rifles became irrelevant with the advent of tanks and aircraft.

    Finally, conceding a point...

.... then to moving the goal posts. I am not interested in that bill. The original claim was that Obama was going to reclassify bolt actions as machine guns.

    Was that HB1022?

It is non-sense. The term "assualt weapon" is an imaginary term made up by the gun control advocates to demonize a particular type of semi-automatic firearm.

More amusing is to start threads on predominately left leaning boards with a poll:

    What should be allowed?
    Semi-automatic sporters
    Assault weapons
    Both

.... and what is so bad about communism?

Would you like to discuss Russel's Teapot while we are on the subject of proving negatives?

My money is where my mouth is, I am paying taxes just like you.

Haha! People call me a leftist though I don't know why since rifles, guns, bows-and-arrows, maces, spears, hatchets, etc are among my biggest passions. I would love to own a Thompson but it is very difficult to get a license for one. But this would be my ideal pastime:

Also very expensive, you are looking at $30,000ish for the Class III Thompson.....

    ....

The semi-automatic versions are around $1,000.

I have read in the past where Patriots during the Revolutionary war and for a period thereafter provided people with rifles if they couldn't afford one. Well, perhaps some of the forum's right wingers can chip in and buy me a Thompson and a few loaded 30 round magazines. Wouldn't that be good?

Would you have more to offer than two words to substantiate your claim?

I have seen full auto 9mm for as low as 4,000. Saw an MP40 recently for 8,000 (my uncle brought one back from WWII but his no count son sold it). M16 for about 16,000. Nothing I can justify to afford. In this case the 200 tax stamp seems paltry.

I am strongly considering a sound suppressor for a .22 pistol... should be fun.

I have read a bunch of opinions which is the best host but don't remember the outcome. We have a local seller (a police detective) that is opening a range that sells suppressors and has some great combo deals sometimes.

The nicest 22 I have is a Margolin Russian Target pistol that is very accurate.

cow cookies. The idiotic gun control laws in California started with the police calling for a clamp down because they were afraid of the Black Panthers.
How notoriously left-wing are the cops in California?

The fact that they have a may-issue licensing law tells me it is more about the rich not wanting to have to worry that the poor will rise up.

This leftist is going to install a free floating handgaurd on one of my builds.

Removing the flash suppressor should be fun. :/

That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer's cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there. ~ George Orwell
