I believe it was Barbara Boxer, might have been another female from the loony left, that tried to introduce a bill that would have made itillegal for any weapon tested by the military to be owned by civilians. Wol, that means ALL weapons because the military tests them all, even .22's.

Well, I am stocked up for the next century seeing how some of my rifles are already a century old or older and still fire powerful ammo. I will bury them if I have to but knowing the dems don't want to make the same mistake they made last time, I am not really worried.

Leftists love guns; it's the liberals who don't. Guns are how you get and maintain political power.

You're not allied with reason. You're joined at the hip with Nancy Pelosi. Poetic justice for you.

In the California legislature there are proposals to require that every round bear a unique serial number. This is designed to increase the cost of ammo. This is what our friend is unwittingly supporting.

Hmmmmm.... I am a market socialist, yet I like guns.

So no, its not so much that liberals do not like guns.

I like the idea of you losing your weapons and being empty handed. It just seems so right for you to lose what you love.

This is a debate forum, so why not debate the topic instead of playing silly games?

    Now go play along.

Sorry, but the idea of you defenseless is a pretty sweet thought. It just seems so appropriate.

While I hope Obama fails in his bid for a second term. If wolverine loses his rights so do we. I fail to see how attacking someone who supports the right to bear arms. Furthers our cause I have never seen wolverine say anything to deserve to be attacked. I support the second even voting for the republicans just for that reason. Attacking a supporter of the 2nd makes it appear that isn't your primary concern. If more like him had his views the 2nd would be secure. I defend his rights as much as my own. There are plenty of foes who deserve attack he is not one. If he supports Obama I hope he will be disappointed. Yet I have never heard him support Obama. I wish wolverine very well on his 2nd amendment for it is mine as well.

I guess because I am not economically conservative I must some how support Pelosie and deserve to loose my rights.

Or so thinks the intellectually bankrupt.

I do not out right support Obama, but given the prospect of Santorum.... Obama may be the better pick. I could probably vote for Romney... but Santorum.... gawd. I simply cannot believe what is coming out of the GOP this election cycle.... gawd. It is as if they are gift wrapping the presidency for Obama.

I can not stand any of them. They only give us the choice between authoritarians. I hope it is not santorum as well. I do not trust romney but he is better than a 2nd term president. That will never face the voters again. Actually an this might make some mad. Romney might rule further left than Obama.

If it is santorum, we can be certain of Obama's second term.

He is simply an idiot beyond words.

As long as Newt stays in Romney should get it. If his billionaire drops him we could be in trouble. Santorum draw are the Christians not to fond of a Mormon I suppose. Yet Romney no hero to the second. I would not want him to have a 2nd term either. It will boil down to the affordable care act being affirmed. As alot of young heathy people will not want to be forced to buy health insurance.
If that happens Obama will have a hard time with independents. With gas prices already this high a bad hurricane in Texas or Louisiana would put gas where we never seen it before. A possible Israel pay back for Obama first year in office with an attack on Iran. Assuming it is Romney, I think it would be a coin flip with slight Obama edge now. One of the above a good chance. Two out of three very likely Romney. All three would be a Landslide. This issue of guns seems to only matter for a few. I live in the south so it never matters they always go red in the presidential election. I just like to research an try an figure things out. Then see if I am right in November.

Wolverine is low hanging fruit. The inconsistency in his political thought makes him fair game.

You are very charitable to those who are our political enemies. I am not so charitable. Wolverine supports Obama despite the fact that in a second term Obama will have nothing to restrain him from attempting to gut the second amendment. This means that the Second Amendment is a low priority for him.

Our friend would meekly stand in line to turn in his weapons if Obama demanded it. They can have my weapons after they gun me down. That's what it would take.

Yet again I disagree I feel he will not go quietly.
Nor will I, yet if enough agree on both sides that will never be necessary. If I had not read his post for weeks. I would not have come to his defense. This is the most important issue for me. Far to important to let mere ideology stand
in the way. I seek no battle from within our ranks but I have seen
conservatives favor registrations. The last nominee as well as Romney have
issues as well. This battle will evolve past the traditional right VS left view. The more supporters we have the easier victory will become.

It seems that the issue of gun control favors the pro gun rights crowd, they typically vote with gun rights in mind. The gun control advocates do not typically vote for candidates who favor gun control, the association of gun control and leftist politics I think is more of a partisan issue than a reasoned through position to take.

As for Romney, I guess I do not see him passing much gun control. That would essentially kill the prospect of a GOP party backed re-election. He just needs to look better than Santorum.... Santorum seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

No, Wol, they don't have to but then by the same logic why would they expect ME to pay THEIR bills??? It's called a choice, Wol, a choice. If they do not chose to do what it takes then that's their look out and don't come to me with your hand out.

Even though I have no use for a full auto I would not curtail another from owning one if they jump through all the hoops. But what's funny to me is, those of your mind set forget that before 1934 anybody could walk into the store and walk out with a Thompson no questions asked. It was their RIGHT!
