    when there is a temporary break down in law and order during a revolution (police flee or sit tight because of their connection to the previous regime), the criminals always come out to play. This sort of thing was inevitable: the bank vault was probably the dream target of some gang that they never really thought they would have the chance to rob (until a few weeks ago).

    if ever faced with the choice of taking 100lbs of bullion or 100lbs of coins, take the coins. they're worth several times the weight of the metal.
