For the US to go into open civil war would require more than just the actions of our current glorious leaders. There would have to be an extreme SHTF event first: ecomonic collapse, massisve natural disaster, NBC attack on our country, or so on. An invasion from Hispanics and Asians may cause a ethnic takeover of the Southwest US in the future. In the short term, I do predict rioting in major urban centers of the US like Atlanta, Detroit and Los Angeles around next summer.
The United States has taken on a huge wave of crime and poverty from the third world, which will be used to justify gun control and socialism. There would not be any need for gun regulation or socialised healthcare if it was not for all this crime and poverty brought to the USA by excessive immigration.
Does anyone see the irony here? Arming the police state while at the same time disarming the citizens. I thought progressives supported disarmament of military and police forces.

Alright I actually watched the video. I can't help but notice the lack of talk of civil war. The interesting thing I found was that they're trying to sell an ide aof the government going against the will of the people, when I'm pretty sure there is wide political support for the things they're mentioning (whacking Osama, whacking Anwar al-Awlaki, giving police better equipment, etc). So it's less them not doing what the people want, and more them doing things they have to if they don't want to get thrown out and replaced by somebody who'll get the results people want. The only bit in there that I don't think fits under that catagory is the ammo purchases. But poking around briefly it looks like it's a purchase for training centers for a lot of different groups and they are contracts over a multi year period. Feel free to find better info on that. As for the other stuff, I think people should seriously consider saying that they accept risk in order to preserve liberties. We did this with our civilian justice system. Certainly the rights afforded to the accused, limits on police searches, and the "innocent until proven guilty" threshold result in rapists and murderer going back out on the streets to rape and murder again. If we want to turn around these policies, Americans need to decide that they're willing to let the occasional terrorist attack slip through, let the occasional lighter equiped cop die in a shootout, and let more threats stay on the street in general if it means preserving our privacy, liberties, etc. I have a hunch Obama's opinions would "evolve" if he thought he'd gain votes by doing so.
